How the US Air Force could take on Godzilla and WIN

In honor of April Fool's Day, we decided to have a bit of fun and explore the ways the United States Air Force could defeat a Kaiju (or giant monster) similar to Godzilla, without even needing support from the other military branches.
Of course, in the canon of these films, military hardware never quite does the trick, but here in the real world... It's tough to deny the destructive power wielded by the US Air Force.
This is, of course, all in good fun. Happy April Fool's Day, everyone!

It's a little known fact that in 1980, there was a Kaiju attack... But thanks to being near the Atols in the Pacific, it went unnoticed. Lots of military ordinance was expended, and since we couldn't write it ALL off on "training exercises", nor could we explain what the rest was _actually_ used for.... The US military secretly contacted McDonalds to buy the killed Kaiju's remains! And so, in 1981, after a year of development... McDonald's debuted their product: _the _*_McRib_* Now you know why it has only periodically ever come back for limited time runs... The meat is kept in cold storage, knowing that it would only last so long! Whereas of they put it on the menu and it was successful, then they'd eventually have to pull it, which would create outrage! Doing it _this way,_ though, ensures it's available for decades, and maintains the demand. 😉

One flaw of this plan is that Legendary Godzilla took the Castle Bravo nuke straight to the face and came out unphased. Also, Godzila's atomic breath was capable of penetrating the crust of the Earth to the Hollow Earth in Godzilla v Kong, so it has great range

I don't get the movie, survive from a Nuke has 100 megatons of energy, against a punch or bite force that is less than 10% energy of the nuke. At least the MOP is an giant bullet that uses kinetic energy to penetrate the Kaiju armor. If it doesn't work, replace the iron core with a tungsten rod to greater the penetration power, and put the rocket booster to make it Mach 10 similar to the Rods of Gods, there is a saying from a famous Artificer you can kill anything with sufficient acceleration and mass.

  • @DahliaRabbit

@warhammer8867 idk. I based my observation off the force a nuke produces as well as the heat. There is nothing in a traditional arsenal that can recreate the force of the Castle Bravo nuke, which I think was the largest nuke the U.S. ever used, and how it affects not just the external body but the tremendous shockwave should turn the internals into mush and it doesn't do a thing to Godzilla. Also the heat does nothing. Godzilla has a very high resistance to heat.

Radiation heals Godzilla. The damage done by the bomb is never depicted, but best guess is he looks like Logan in The Wolverine nuke scene during the blast and then just soaks up the radiation for a quick heal. Normal weapons don't offer that same benefit to Godzilla. They just do damage. Keep radioactive weapons out of the mix and Godzilla is gonna burn off the radaition stores in his body needed to even sustain his mass as he starts rage blasting atomic breaths trying to deal with what to him would seem like a gang of invisible enemies jumping him.

13:36 In Gozilla vs Kong he uses his atomic breath to drill through the ground to hollow earth from the surface. If we take the graphic representations of Hollow Earth at face value you're looking at around 2-2.5 thousand miles. It did take him several minutes to accomplish this feat though. The next longest shot we see Legendary's Godzilla take is in 2019's King Of The Monsters, when he hits Ghidorah standing in Fenway Park fron the Bay; that equates to about a two and a half mile snipe, and it didn't seem particularly tricky for him to pull off. But if you want to get really crazy, 2004's Godzilla: Final Wars has him shoot an oncoming meteor out of the sky. Very impressive as meteors tend to fall at hypersonic speeds.

I was able to keep that job for 7 years before I was crippled in a motorcycle accident that shattered my pelvis, ruptured my right testicle, tore my bladder in half, tore my prostate, detached my right leg internally, avulsed my abs and was left in the middle of the road half naked, bleeding to death out of my asshole. I fought like a son of a bitch and walked a bystander through doing an improvised pelvic binder on me( which saved my life, thank you Joe McCormick I owe you my life). I survived that and eventually learned to walk again, but I got horribly addicted to pain killers, then heroin. I beat that addiction, can walk and now even run( fuck me does it hurt though), I got married, and now I'm 36 years old (going on 4 years clean) trying to figure out how to start a family without giving my child cystic fibrosis as well. We prevail because we never surrender. We refuse to fail even if we stumble and fall. Don't give up on me, sir. Even if no one else says it, your life fucking matters. I have had 258 stitches, 9 operations, 34 broken bones, 2 titanium plates, 4 large screws, 13 more screws, 1 8inch rod, 5 clips, and 3 missing organs. If I can make it, you should be able to as well. As a few others have pointed out, Godzilla has taken two nukes right to the face (one in KotM, one in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters). Literally right to the face, and he loved every second of it. His nuclear breath is also powerful enough to blast a hole to the Hollow Earth (seen in GvK). Not sure how deep that is, but it's more than a few miles. Two overlooked points: 1) Ghidorah dropped Godzilla from at least a few miles up (KotM). He was severely weakened, but not even unconscious. 2) in Godzilla: Awakening, Godzilla was shown to be present at or very near the asteroid impact site of the Permian Extinction. The amount of energy Godzilla would've tanked in these scenarios is far, far beyond anything the US military is capable of producing. At very best, the military would be able to piss him off and maybe lure him somewhere away from densely populated areas.

The other side of that is if you want to go specifically with the Monsterverse they don’t do a good job of scaling with certain situations honestly as big as these kaiju are they very could be standing a mile from each other and firing.

There's a backlog of 30+ movies where Godzilla has shrugged off about every type of conventional weapon imaginable (and even some unconventional ones) with no evident damage. He took nukes to the face in both Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. Godzilla Minus One's relative vulnerability (actually having chunks of flesh blown off him only to be regenerated) is a rare exception. It's an absurd, fantastical attribute, but it's as fundamental to and inextricable from his character as Superman's invulnerability. He's an allegorical personification of the weapon at the pinnacle of our Cold War arms races- the Hydrogen bomb. Just as all individual weapons pale before that, nothing equal to our lesser than that can harm him for symbollic reasons. If it can, then we're no longer speculating about Godzilla, just a counterfeit.

It depends on what Godzilla we are talking about here. In one movie he's taking an asteroid to the face only to fight a monster right after, in another Goji tanks a black hole launched from orbit (twice in the same movie lol). I mean hell in the new apple TV show he was standing right next to the castle bravo test, I'm sure we probably know whether he survived or not. I didn't even get into comics yet either. Its pretty much a meme in the Godzilla community that the military is meant to show him tank a bunch of explosions before destroying all of them right after haha.

So artfully done, with a delightfully serious, but tongue-in-cheek presentation. It was the most thoroughly entertaining April Fool's Day gag I've ever experienced, It would be my hope that if we ever have to deal with any sort of kaiju, the tacticians in the military will have watched this and taken the tactical guidance you presented seriously, and use it to kick kaiju's butt! While the topics of your presentations/reporting is something I'm most interested in, the subject is also kind of scary. Having to use the weapons systems you present on your channel in a large regional, or perish the thought, global conflict makes me shudder to think about. Honestly though, that all pales in comparison to my concerns related to you struggling with your own kaiju. You are absolutely deserving of every possible dose of supportive and healing energy and love that all of your devoted fans can send your way. You can be sure that you are in my thoughts and prayers as this challenge is met and conquered through strength, faith, and perseverance, just as Godzilla would be with your tactical genius. Thank YOU from the bottom of my heart for doing what you do, and being the person that you are. All the best to you with this challenge, and always.

Shin Godzilla actually got it pretty well. They initially had AH-1s engaging with guns followed by rockets when guns had no effect on target. They stayed a good Kilometer or two away before depleting their ammo and returning with no losses. Later, there was a far larger operation with tanks supported by MLRS and SPH fire. This was also supported by an F-2 (Japanese variant of F-16) dropping what looked like JDAM from high in the sky. It later has US B-2 spirits dropping heavy ordinance with some effect from high altitude but they actually got shot down when Godzilla evolved some bs AA laser.

@@player55redcrafter8 If we’re taking into account realism then Godzilla wouldn’t exist in the first place. You can’t apply real world logic to a fictional, sci-fi movie about a bigass lizard, so you have to work within the parameters of what makes sense in universe. You can’t pick and choose which parts of Godzilla are “realistic” just so you can have an excuse for your side to win.
