Nice video, If I may I would like to add a couple of tips and agree with you that this tool should only be used to replace valve cores. When you are removing the shrader valve as you are letting the tool push back from the pressure you should be turning it at the same time because sometimes the valve will get stuck in the ball valve opening. Also before removing this tool I always open the ball valve first to make sure the core is sealed tight before removing the tool, that way you are not fighting it to get it back on if something happens. This tool saved my but one time, I had gauges hooked up and when I went to take them off the plunger somehow got caught on the valve and bent the shrader valve core and it was stuck open. Luckily I had this tool to change it. This is a must have and is 50 bucks very well spent. I have the yellow jacket one and am going to order the Hilmor, just started buying their tools and all I can say is their quality of tools is outstanding.

I know this is really old video and I hope you can answer a question I have. I can’t seem to get new core pushed in to a charged system. The plunger seems impossible to push in far enough under pressure. Pressure Keeps pushing pushing the plunger out and can’t seem to get new one to lined up or something. Any tips other than keep trying. I have the valve open with the removal tool on but pressure is really strong

I can see where this tool would be very helpful. I can also see where it could be another device susceptible to leaking. Look at the Yellow Jacket instructions for a rebuild. There are many rubber o rings that could degrade over time. Great tool for intended use though. Great video too! Thanks.

One very important point when you are unscrewing the shrader valve you MUST hold pressure inward on the plunger as it wants to push out disengaging the tool before the shrader is fully unscrewed. I usually unscrew it at least 6 or 7 turns.

can I hook this up to my cars fuel rail while the pressure is still in the rail... then remove the fuel line schrader valve while a fuel line hose(to a gas can) is hooked up to the tools test port with THAT schrader valve in the test port already removed... then just turn the pump on and push fuel out of the fuel rail through the schrader tools testing port?

amtpdb1 The cost is in the low $50. This one and the Appion brand both cost about the same. They are both rated for vacuum. I do believe the Appion holds the schrader better. I will test both side by side in the future. I hesitate to use these tools for vacuum because the tool adds more possibilities for leaks during evacuation. Hope this helps. GFM
