Even if you make the bumpers take more abuse it will still break there will always be something wrong with the new controller new improvements can make weaknesses elsewhere in the controller

Well, the most important thing I noticed it was the paddles. They were shortened. On elite 1 were too big, I can use just 1 each side. Definitive buying!

Julio Manfrini same, I use the shorter paddles on the bottom slots for each side, and just left the bigger ones off. It was way too hard to grip the controller with all 4 paddles on, hoping that’s not the case with this one

Before I bought shorter paddles, I used to flip mine. So that the longer paddle pointing up instead of down. I only used one like that on the right side.

@@iseeyotoes6739 glue doesn't work. The grips on the first Elite controller expands by the warmth/sweat of your hands, so when it falls off after 3 months - 2 years, it doesn't fit to glue it back on.

i can already hear the left bumper not clicking..

The bumpers were always my biggest complaint

Bro for real, I feel like they made everything right with this new controller except for bumper durability, but if I have to choose between bumper weakness or stick drift- I’m happy they fixed the stick drift

Still have mine for 8+ months and it feels like brand new...grip still on tight surprisingly

That animation at the end was just delicious

I just got it for Christmas and I could not be Happier......thx Xbox

Two things that are important to me and have nothing to do with sophisticated tech innovations, but with simple quality control : 1.) I do not like grips to fall off, and 2.) I also do not like stick drift.

I got over 10k hrs out of my elite one controller before it finally started to have issues. More than happy with its performance. I would only change two things on this it would be perfect for me. Stiffer than the 360 on the stiffest setting and make the micro usb connect more robust like on the razor controllers. Btw the razor I bought to be backup duty didn’t last but two months before issues started arising.

Elite 1.0: I went through 5 or 6 controllers since initial launch, problems consist of broken bumpers, stick drift, micro-usb port breaking, and on 1 the grip started coming up on. On another non-verified note I do believe the trigger stops started getting sponge-like.

my elite series 2 broke in less then 2 months the left stick only moves upwards and even if i am not touching it it continues to scroll upwards so i cannot play at all

It seems that they fixed the problems I bad with my first generation elite controller, I.e. bumper durability, and the grip on the controller. Hopefully it lives up to its $180 price tag.

Absolutely.

It sounds like you've listened to critisism but there's just one thing you didn't address and that's the controller suddenly and frequently losing sinc/connection with the console? If you've fixed that too then this elite will be expensive but perfect.
