@@ovx23 eh, the Celtics are playing a lot better now for sure but their offense is still lacking and they wouldn't be in the finals if the bucks or heat were healthy. Plus even though they are a great team I still think brown and Tatum don't play well together. They almost never play well on the same night, it's like they take turns. They are both really good but I think they are worse than the sum of their parts when they play together. But, they are still very young so who knows, and even with injuries they are still in the finals.

Danny Ainge's fundamental flaw as a GM is that he views players as commodities and not as people. Obviously, the NBA is a business and when the best possible move is available, you take it. However, making the right business decision at the cost of your reputation is going to hurt your team in the long run. It's why Ray Allen left in free agency to join the Heat, it's why Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward left in free agency, it's why Evan Fournier left in free agency and constantly cooks the Celtics like he has a vendetta against them despite only playing 21 games for the team! Trading Isaiah Thomas in the way they did really hurt the Cs reputation, Anthony Davis' father did not want his son to play for the Celtics because of how they treated IT. The Celtics are still a very talented team, and when a team this talented struggles the way it does, there is something wrong on a cultural level that needs to be addressed. Brad Stevens in my opinion cannot fix these issues, when Brad traded Kemba Walker, according to Walker via the JJ Reddick Podcast, he had no idea he was traded to OKC until he got a call from his agent while he was on vacation, he was not told he was being shopped, or that there was a possibility it would happen.

Ainge never really did anything with their treasure trove of 1st round picks when he had the chance to get the big named stars. Another issue is how Tatum and Brown have way too similar of a play style being iso scorers with little to NO playmaking skills(they can still get assists but its not their forte). I doubt the Celtics would even trade Brown/Tatum so the only viable guy they could trade is only Smart and whoever they could package along with him. The sad reality right now is that pure point guards are a rare bread now because most guards have been developed into elite scorers.

This is a perfect time for a Boston Celtics video. Casey this might be one of your best videos yet. You absolutely correct the Celtics were looking like they could be a Championship team now they are at the point where they are just making the playoffs. I think it's time to split up Brown and Tatum and obviously it would be Brown, they both play a similar style of basketball but Tatum is better and is the Celtics future. Yah I think your right it's time to trade Brown and split the 2 of them up but what they need is exactly what you said a play making point guard bc Schroder and Smart are not that. That is why the ball is always in Tatum's or Brown's hands, so yah I like that trade with the Wizards, I don't love it but I like it bc they aren't going to get Fox, SGA, or Dame the players you mentioned and their is only 1 Chris Paul lol. He'll of a video Casey, guess we will see what the outcome is but the Celtics have to make a move.

It basically is Marcus Smart and a 2024 #1, for Dinwiddie and KCPi don't see the value for Washington

It may be an unpopular opinion but the thing that hurt them the most was goin to game 7 w/o Kyrie Irving and a Gordon Hayward. Egos got too big and they didn’t respect the peckin order after that season. Kyrie was the number one option and still is the best player out of them. They should’ve fell in line. Could’ve owned the east if they did

As for the Celtics currently, that trade is terrible for the Celtics and a big overpay for possibly one guy who makes some difference and another who would not do crap. They need a stretch 4 who can also be reliable on defense. They need a pg who can lead the offense be reliable on both sides play off the jays and get his teammates open looks. Then a stretch sg/sf. I love Smart but he’s not the answer at pg. he’s a back up combo gaurd. Not a starting pg. he needs to hit the bench or get traded. I think traded because in order to bring talent and salary in he looks like he will have to move on with his value and salary being a asset for us.
