We’ve NEVER Seen This Before…

Спорт

The Boston Celtics started the season looking NOTHING like a contender - winning just 2 of their 1st 7 games - despite a really weak schedule to begin the year.
Their struggles continued through the rest of 2021, and by late December they were 3 games under .500… they were an uninspiring, underwhelming, kinda gross to watch team… and that was what we came to expect from them over the past few years. This was a franchise that had been the very definition of average for years… and continued that by winning just 16 of their first 35 games this season.
And now, a few months later…
They’re basically the 1 or 2 seed in the East.

So, im gonna ask this. Does having the 10th toughest schedule play a roll into it? Because that may be a huge factor. Also the top 4 in the conference being within a game or two of each other, and the EAST being competitive in general...that's how the Celtics got to first. The guys up top facing fierce and better competition compared to the Celtics.

Never mind that man, you did one hell of a explanation & no wonder why your timing to release the video felt like that because of how hard you put the work in these videos. Great job man!! Now, the Celtic’s were the under dog’s the name, the franchise, the team…& the list goes on & on. Where we are I believe will be just the start considering those move’s we made as well as adding our new head coach and it’s all now coming together before our eye’s. So where does this take us….this take’s us beyond expectation’s right now we see Jaylen Brown & Jayson Tatum AVERAGE 63-65 PPG. With that being said we can expect team’s making decision’s to close them out but it’s not that simple when our bench can come together even without them & bring title contending teams to OT. ( Watching What They Did To Toronto ). Will we see the Time Lord return YES & will we need him YES. We are more that grateful to have him & we can never count him out if we are talking about Taking the Chip this season. Only time will tell & time has a lot to tell coming soon. Thank’s for the insight hope this brought attention to some mean’s necessary. #sportinglogically #bleedgreen #celtics

Celtics made moves to get rid of those liability players. Schroder was a ball hog, Richardson was inconsistent even tho he did alright, enes kanter forgets to play the modern game of basketball, and Langford has no offensive skill sets. Add in Derrick white and Daniel theis, both versatile defensively and have great offensive iq, the Celtics are complete. And I like how u put our Cavs as examples. We traded disgruntled Dion waiters, Lou Amundsen (who is still in the nba somehow), and Alex who Kirk for jr smith (3 point shooter) and iman shumpert (defensive identity). Mid season trades are really important to every team struggling early.

@@asanitheafrofuturist lol, you guys never give up on crediting the guy who failed. Mark Jackson was going to win a title never with the predictable offense he ran. Steve Kerr brought in an entirely new system, one that Draymond and others say takes a lot of time to fully grasp which is why some players never really work out and why it takes time for rookies to get minutes. Kerr's new way of playing changed how the entire league plays basketball, ending the day of the big power forward and center who camp out near the basket. Jackson had Draymond coming off the bench, and Iggy was starting, and Curry wasn't running all over the place... Yeah, Mark Jackson got the four main players in place, not sure if he gets credit there or if the front office made the draft and trade decisions. If anyone who has an NBA team thought for a second that Mark Jackson could have taken the Warriors to five Finals and three championships like Kerr did, Jackson would have had another job coaching a long time ago.

Here's the only problem with this: Who has been their consistent defensive anchor during this stretch? The Time Wizard himself, Robert Williams III. He's out for an extended period, and he will likely miss at least a few playoff games. They need him healthy. Otherwise, you have to give big minutes to Al Horford, which would be fine. If this was 2016-2018. He's well into his thirties now, and won't have the same impact as he did in his first stint in Boston if forced to start multiple series. I pray for his health, because defensively, he is a wonder to watch. However, how Boston deals without him will say a lot in my opinion.

If R. Williams wasnt injuried, the hype would be over the moon for the Celtics. They gonna need to have some extra effort in defense to compensate for that.

It took awhile for the players to get Ime's coaching plan, but once they did, it took off like wildfire. During the playoffs, there's been a bit of a setback because of the intensity of play, play being a lot tighter. But even though they've struggled, they've been adapting. You can see this in 5 critical wins after critical losses. They have a very good chance to win it all, but the real key is that this is a very young team, and with more time and experience, all those kinks will be worked out. For years to come, look out NBA.

Ime Udoka is having a top 5 rookie coaching job all time. I think Nick Nurse winning a ring as a rookie coach is #1 but the job Ime is doing turning things around is incredible. If Stevens were the coach and Ainge gm, the team would be the smallest in the league with Smart making up defensively for some 5'10 PG and Rob Williams bench warming instead of DPoY convo sitting at or below .500 with a high likelihood of Jaylen Brown already traded or traded this offseason.

You underestimate the moves. Dennis was a ball stopper who was bad on defense. Celtics getting someone like White is a perfect fit, even with shooting struggles. This also opened up Peyton Pritchard, who wasn’t playing early on due to Dennis. Peyton is a really good player, who has improved a ton Playmaking and defensively. Theis is also a huge pick up considering this team was forced to play Enes Kanter at a certain point earlier this year. Smart has evolved into more of a playmaker, which he has always had but has made it a focal point this year. Tatum has also became a much better passer. Grant Williams has become a knock down 3 and d guy. Horford and Rob Will hold down the paint with the best of them. They just needed time to gel. Brad Stevens had a vision with this team, and made the moves Danny wouldn’t. A lot of credit to him and Ime.

I may sound fake but as a C's fan I always knew they would turn their season around. I DEFINITELY didn't think they'd play THIS well but I knew they'd make playoffs for sure. I never wanted to make ANY changes but I'm glad we did and the way these changes happened. I for sure thought we gave up too much for Derrick White but at the same time I like the trade now. Theis back was a pleasant surprise that I didn't know I wanted. Just glad we kept our core. Tatum, Brown, Rob Williams, and Smart are EXACTLY who you want for us to win a championship. Grant is the only solid asset I could see us parting ways with and being ok with. Even if we lose I like our place rn.
