Pinned comment to clarify a few things! - This is obviously my interpretation, though I was rather vague I can still easily be proven wrong in the future, so don't take this video as completely factual! - Kane did confirm in an interview with Wendigoon that ASYNC is not "evil" in the traditional sense, but that does not mean that they don't make decisions that directly affect the world around them negatively on a regular basis. They may have started with good intentions, but I couldn't possibly define them as having "good morals" by most standards by now. - Kane also confirmed in that same interview that Ivan Beck is both the protagonist and antagonist of the story, with The Complex itself being the main antagonist in the sense that without it the story wouldn't exist.

I feel like Async isn’t directly evil, It’s just that they are pressured to do some stuff that can be seen as evil
I love Kane’s version of the Backrooms because he does it with taste. Nothing is immediately explained, there’s real tension, and the backrooms feel like a threat. The only other version of this that I find great is the original image on 4Chan. No levels bullshit. Just the idea of being alone and maybe something lurking around the corner.

I only have one issue, that was not a "Press Confrence" it was an employee confrence where they were informing their employees of the situation and controling it. It should be noted that this was only for employees on the project and the general public will probably never hear of this.

A-sync's biggest issue with marketing the backrooms space for storage will be the low ceilings and doorways. They need to be consistently 13'-9" or higher for semi trucks to pass through.
@JB52520
Жыл бұрын
With an infinite space for expansion, that's far too important and tempting to pass up. Someone would make a killing selling shorter trucks.
Please never stop making videos- I have 21 diseases including lung cancer and I’m bed ridden at 29 (first was at 19) and your videos distract from my pain. Thank you! I love finding creators like this- who actually put 110% into their videos and know the facts.
You know what I think is crazy? It’s the amount of Minecraft’y feel this series has. The music reminds you of c418, and the feeling of the entirety of the backrooms in the series reminds you of Minecraft nostalgia. Peace, horror, and simplicity. It is able to give the watcher a feeling they only felt when they were young. It’s so nostalgic. The idea of liminal spaces and soft, ambient music, is just perfect for a series about it.

My PERSONAL ratings on each backrooms lore Original - 8/10 the basic concept is pretty good, while I think it’s perfect, the reason why I’m getting it an 8 is due to there being alternative lore that I believe is better Wiki dot - 7/10 here’s a controversial one, I personally don’t think the wiki dot is that bad, yes some things are a bit messy and all that, but the main topics of people attempting to survive with multiple levels sounds like a good idea and always give me this weird vibe when I read them. Liminal archive - 6/10 for those who don’t know, this is a wiki that I believe is the wiki dot backrooms but takes place in the future, or something like that. Cool concept except that barely any content is made from it. Voidclusters - 6/10 not the backrooms but it’s inspired by the backrooms, I’ve actually written some levels! However, like liminal archive, the community isn’t big Kane pixels - 10/10 best one yet, with interesting lore and mysteries, strange stuff, and more. Can’t wait for more! Backrooms memes - 5/10 this one kinda depends on the content creator, some actually spend time on memes and are actually funny, others are bad. KZread kids backrooms - 1/10, no

I have a different opinion on how Peter was ended. I think they lied to their employees. He didn’t trip, they injected him with something lethal. If you notice the syringe immediately follows by a photo of him running down a street I think what really happened was he ran as far as he could but eventually had to stop, tried to hide, but was caught and neutralized
@daniilfilms
11 ай бұрын
I don’t think he was caught and neutralized with injection, I believe while a guard was trying to apprehend him, They accidentally shot him, Causing Peter to die
@snaek2594
11 ай бұрын
Disagree. Pretty sure Kane deliberately included the word "Extracted" along with the shot of the syringe to imply that there's another layer to this. I believe the employees researching The Complex are being kept in the dark about this specifically, but Kench's blood is of high interest to Async. I think there's a seperate research group specializing in the bacteria/monster. Remember the shots of blood being dripped onto the agar plates in "Autopsy Report"? Kench would never be allowed to return to the public. If people found out Async faked his death, who knows what would happen. That's why I think whether or not Peter's death was caused by Async is up to the viewer to decide. If Peter did not trip and fall headfirst onto a rock, then he would have to be made to... I also believe that it's possible he's alive and imprisoned. Either way, I believe the specific use of the word is referring his blood being "extracted" to have tests performed on them.
If ASYNC caused these disappearances by creating the portal, wouldn't that be criminal negligence it would also open up the company to civil law suites?
@daniilfilms
11 ай бұрын
They didn’t know that the disappearances would happen, Plus Async is funded by the government so I don’t think they would be taken to court
@crypter27

True, but the government could throw ASYNC under a bus if this experiment was exposed?
Tbh after hearing Kane talk about it, I don't think we know too much about Async or the backrooms. Like, I don't think we know enough to infer or breakdown definitely any of this. The only things we can know 100% are the events as they happen in his series as we are shown them. Specifically the found footage dates and async's issues, such as that guy be teleported through time. Just my two sense here!
Criminally underrated video. Deserves more attention man. You hit the nail on the head with all the points afaik.

Fantastic work! I believe there may be a connection with the bacteria and Peter’s mental state following his arrival back at Async. Causing some level of paranoia or other effects when one’s in the backrooms for a long enough time. My reasoning? In Kane’s short film/first video, the cameraman comes across a bunch of scribbles and phrases, before being chased away. From the Damage Control video, it’s clear Peter had started doing the same. Perhaps I’m wrong, but I feel like the bacteria doesn’t JUST turn people into monsters upon them being deceased (Found Footage 2). It has more gradual effects, to an extent.

@@minaxa blippity blippity blippity doo. I committed mass murder and you are good at youtube!
honestly when the back rooms was in full swing the over saturation of content reminded me of certain Scips in the worst way possible (which ironically ask started as a post on a 4chan board-), too many shallow and mediocre topics with little holding power. Yet this reminded me of the best from the Foundation, namely exploration logs in location based writings, while becoming something unique.
I know this is a popular theory but did you ever consider Peter’s falling death as a cover up? The syringe definitely implies that they injected something lethal. You can also recall a phone being dialed but no one picks up. This same phone goes back to an unlisted video of peter’s family called “home”. I assume he tried to reach his family before his doom with no success, after he verbally mourned about his isolation from his wife and children. I think you’re very right about Peter not being as schizophrenic as ASYNC said to be. I do believe that it the events of peter could have caused some mental issues but he sounds very stressed BUT emotionally collective when he was armed. And another small detail is the painting in Peter’s family home. It also appears in the backrooms in a dark room with a lot of black vines, so there’s some connection with his house and the backrooms. It couldnt have no clipped as it would be on the ground, unless something was there to hang it up. It’s very strange.

@rustyshackleford234

Yeahhh, levels and entities would work a lot better in a dimension-hopping series or something, it doesn’t really work in the backrooms, where the horror comes from being alone.
Me personally i would think that peter did escape and async just made another cover story for some reason?
Any time I've watched the original "Backrooms" videos? I always get a sense of a dark presence and even the employees don't know or get told what is going on? So that's a huge red flag IMO! But It's still great watching it as it's very eerie in nature!
