The Anti Androgen therapy to treat prostate cancer is ridiculous, there is no scientific explanation why depriving the body of testosterone? If testosterone is the blame of prostate cancer then why aren't teenagers suffering prostate cancer? Who are at risk of prostate cancer? Men over 50 years old when the testosterone levels are the lowest, older man have a testosterone deficiency, it is estrogen what causes tumors, don't always trust big pharma's treatments

I know what you mean. My doctor does not tell me anything. Only will see me the same day as I get a lupron shot, every 3 months!.
Your videos are like executive briefs; concise and thorough. Can't thank you enough.
I had radiation 1n 2018. My Gleason sore was 9. I did not do the follow up radiation. My psa was rising, but know it is leveling off at around .31 . I'm told I have a very aggressive time and the biopsy core sample was Gleason 9. My symptoms might indicate the cancer might be spreading, although my doctor can't say I have cancer. Medicare will not allow a pet scan, because psa is at at least a 1. My doctor says Gleason 9 does not always produce high psa. So I just wait so see if I get more symptoms of spread.
Thanks for the very good advice. Good presentation!
Such a wealth of information right at our fingertips! Thank you both so much!

Cool red jacket.. and I'm liking your ties! Thank you Alex xo.. Dr. Sholtz and Sir Hunter the Dal. So I'm Advanced Teal. (It had been ten years since my last physical) the exam included DRE. PSA 8.2. My primary care physician referred a eurologist. (I procrastinated almost a year).. my MD said if I don't visit the eurologist find another family doctor ha.. I went. With PSA 7.8 he performed a biopsy.. found two of the 12 cores were (3+3) and (4+3) prostate size 66cc. ADT now month 4 preparing for spacer gel, IMRT, Brachy.. Dr. Alex Hsi, renown seed guy (Evergreen Health Kirkland WA) Age 62 6'.0 210lbs don't drink or smoke.. feel fine. Thnx bunches.. I love PCRI.. Priceless and so INFORMATIVE!!
Can you talk about the effects that HRT/TRT could have on low grade prostate cancer and can it cause the prostate to grow? I suffer from low T and have been on 60mgs of testosterone a week for a few years. Thank you for the great videos.

Hey guys my husband is Gleason score 9, 51 years of age, stage 4 in lymph nodes out of the prostate and magnifying activity on the lift hip, that's the only bone affected. His being on a hormone blocker 50mg for a week now and will be getting a injection the 12th April 2022, then they now want to remove his testicles and a month after chemotherapy is the removal of the testicles a good call in his condition
Lot of good info there, thanks.
Love your helpful videos. I just started Orgovyx a couple of weeks ago, good so far. But before starting the drug, my baseline Testosterone level was 318 ng/dl, in the green zone (193-740). So, in your range of 20-50 I am assuming you use a different scale of measurement, is that right? Thanks!
Very interesting. Out of the many forms of prostate cancers, are there some that respond positively on the reduction of other anabolic hormones i.e. estrogen or insulin ? Thank you.

This IS valuable information. Would you talk about 4K score, how it's created, is it still a useful predictor, what other factors are needed to get a "full picture".

I did a 4K blood Test and a EXOdx urine test in order to avoid a biopsy, both results said to go to a biopsy as did my PIRAD 4 MRI, all aligning with my Gleason 7 score. Pretty precise
so if men who take "holidays" from andro deprivation do just as well as men who stay on continuously why even bother with andro deprivation?
Considering intermittent therapy - how long should the first period be? I take Eligard for two years already, and since 6 months I have severe pains and swellings in hands' fingers.

The relation between testosterone (T) and DHT is goverened by the a-5 reductase enzyme. Can T to DHT ratio's predict cancer development or outcome in any way ?
@clintcarter

Trying to find more info on this relationship. (DHT/prostate cancer growth relationship). Where upon the possible use of non dht testosterone derivatives like Nandrolone may be a better alternative for intermittent trt.
Your suit Sir ummmmm🤙🏽
My dad did hormone therapy but after awhile, the cancer pushed the body to create testosterone to feed off of.. killed him after that. Is there any solution to someone where the cancer his resistant?

Same with my father
I’m confused as my dad’s physician wants to give him testosterone injections as therapy to lower his PSA… ???
@Fighter4Street
Жыл бұрын
Yes because the testosterone fuels the prostate cancer. The injections will stop his testosterone and therefore lower his PSA because it stops the cancer. He will have a lot of side effects and no sex life though.

@@Fighter4Street he is 86 He’s had prostate surgery 30 years ago. Why give him shot now if it feed cancers?
Most men do not have healthy testosterone levels. Testosterone is down 50% in the last 100 years. Clinical ranges for low t are between 300-800.
I have pins what impact would testosterone have on me..
I'm guessing vegans seem to do well slowing down PC especially if they don't add fat or oil to their diet because hormones like testosterone need fat or oil for production. I went on a 5 day fast with no added oil or animal fat and before long I ended up with ED till I reintroduced fat and oil, some meat and got off the fast. I can only guess that my testosterone got very low. MY PSA was measured and did drop a bit from a 1.8 level. 9 yrs later it peaked at 4.20, now 3.20 with some diet adjustment.
My friend is using Centauri Honey Turkish brand with crazy price around 17,000 $ for 1 kilogram Cave Honey , only rich can afford

PLEASE.... you say a shot lasts six months, but you seldom, if ever warn us that your six month shot actually drops out testosterone level to below castrate level for many months longer than six months, and in up to twenty percent of older men drops the T level to below castrate level FOREVER. .....How can a patient give free and fully informed consent when this critical information is deliberately withheld???
Haven't recent studies shown low or no testosterone therapies having no difference in survival time to high testosterone therapies? High testosterone therapies provide much better quality of life.

If testosterone is the "fuel" for prostate cancer why don't men in their 20s and 30s get prostate cancer when testosterone levels are highest?

Because testosterone does not "fuel " prostate cancer. It's a common outdated notion that has been refuted by prominent urologists in recent years. It's actually caused by genetic and lifestyle issues as well as increasing estrogen/dht and prolactin levels as aging men's testosterone converts more into these hormones as part of the normal ageing process.
A Lot Of The Docs Dont Even Check What Your Hormone Levels Are They Just Want To Give The Shot And Make That Money.
