I am 4+3 with PSA of 23, with 7 out of 12 cores cancer-identified; one core with a 4+3 reading, one with a 3+3, and the rest of the 7 being 3+4. The other 5 cores are healthy. I am 71. The radiologist I consulted says I am 61, but suggested I undergo surgery. I am pursuing my options. Will not pursue surgery. Depending on whether I am a TULSA candidate that may be the road I take. If possible I will wait until Medicare covers it. A couple of reports I’ve read say it is covered, but it appears it doesn’t. This Man is a S.E.H.(Superiorly Elevated Human) This man is a V.G.H. (Very Good Human). He is here wearing my favorite tie so far. His book is very very good. Read it.

I had 9 gleason grade 5 no spread 39 radiation treatments Lupron every 3 months, starting Halloween shots 6 months apart. Doing ok but tired.

Great information - My Dad was put on testosterone reduction treatment when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Good to know that this is not necessary according to studies as suggested.

I'm 66 went in for T test, doc added PSA test... T was 564, PSA > 600 prostate 40 CC, shows cancer in contrast CT, biopsy shows Gleason 7 in about 8 cores... PMSA/Pet this week, No treatment suggested yet, surgery & radiation already ruled out.... Self treatment with Fenbendazole & RSO started with Tumeric, vitamins C, D, E, etc nutraceuticals.

Radiation seemed easy to me, if you don't mind your pee comming out a little bit hot. I did my 39 visits.

Very good video and informative. I go tomorrow morning to have my shot for hormone therapy. I have two biopsies that were 3+4 and both were cancerous. I had several that were 3+3. Thank you.

That was my Gleason score as well. Had beam radiation therapy to prostate and one node and coming into the final month of ADT for a total of 16 months. 49 years old. Tempted to take trt right away to see how my psa will react and if it goes abnormally higher will figure out the next step. Instead of just waiting another 12 months with low T only to find my psa rising anyway.

I recently started taking androgel because of low free testosterone (normal total) There were many subtle effects. But the most surprising were psychological. I became much more even tempered and patient. This has significantly increased my quality of life. I know that others will have various experiences… but this was mine

Any studies, or observation from urologists, whether those that start with higher testosterone levels feel the effects of ADT more?

What are the studies Dr. Scholz mentions demonstrating that testosterone therapy is OK for those who have had metastatic PC but are now in remission?

Interesting I am in a study ....I have prostate cancer a gleason 4 + 3. Stage II c ,CT1c... Have had a psma pet scan and have no spread...I take darolumide and will undergo radiation....my psa high point was about 5.1 ...after a month on darolumide its declined to 1.13...but testosterone is high

Hey, I had LDR Brachytherapy in July 2022. I had 3 treatments of ADT finishing in October 2022. I recently tested for my total testeron in May 2023, 6 months after my last ADT shot (Zoladex). My result was 19.5 ng/dl. I checked again at the end of July 2023, and I got 10 ng/dl. I am curious to know if my total testerone will ever recover. I do exercise, but it's realy difficult. My doctors and reseach are very unclear in stating what is the expected time for it to rebound. I am 55 years old and still experience the cold sweats, aching in my joints and disruptive sleep. I would like a window of expectation where it should ideally recover. Additionally if, let's say it takes a year I really do not want to get TRT if that prevents my natural testosterone production.

If a man has a low baseline T levels, let's say 180, would it not be counterintuitive to opt for ADT? Would that man not be better off to be administered TRT instead, even if stage 4? I can see where a man with high levels, such as over 1000, would benefit from ADT. Would the reverse not be true?

I am 72 in september I had a biopsy of 3+3. Blood tests every 90 days average PSA 5 . in January another biopsy no changes, in June I had a MRI and a pet scan no change .In July my PSA went to 50 retested 2 days later it went down to 43. I have no signs of infection I am going to do another blood test in September and if high another biopsy .The only thing that changed is I am a runner and I pulled muscles in my glute and hamstring and have been stuck in my recliner for the last month waiting it muscles to heal could this be the cause of high PSA? The only other change is in the last month I have been drinking a glass of pomagranite juice every day any ideas of what could cause the drastic raise in PSA

Very good once again..demanded to get off hormone shots and get testosterone gel..due to tiredness..loss of muscles…can’t see results from gym work..etc..etc..insurance wot give me any till my doc shows low test two morn in a row…daaa blood test shows 0.018 or so…can’t get any lower…hormone shots like you said..made me feel like a limp dish cloth…need major restoration in strength…love your talks..thanksss

Depends on your age but typically 2-5

Sometimes low testosterone levels can be caused by stress! There’s a inverse correlation between cortisol levels and T levels.

Can you have low testosterone and high PSA

My question is what is undetectable PSA? I’ve been told 0:05 and less. But my lowest is 0.071 and has been at the level for 2 years. So much disinformation on the word undetectable.

Great information. My doctor at the Cross Cancer institute said I would never be allowed to get Testosterone Replacement therapy. Well, she's no longer my doctor. I am now six months past the expiry of the first Eligard shot that I was coerced into taking that they said was a six month shot, but my Testosterone level remains well below castrate level with no sign of ever recovering. I am going to wait until two years has elapsed after my 25 Fractions of IMRT was finished, and then start self administering Testosterone cypoinate injections twice weekly. It is super cheap and available over the counter in Mexico. ...i have lost all trust in the medical profession that is more concerned with pushing extremely expensive drugs over a patient's quality of life. ...And. BTW, DR. SCHOTZ , your comments sound a bit too heterosexist..
