Her abilities could have been developped further with sealing and different kinds of projectiles. Yet she was used as a placeholder for her team's three-person cell... Genma is one of those side characters that you just hope for. Cool design, chill attitude, good to excelling at his job, kinda wanna see more, he's one of the characters you kinda just like, even if he doesn't do too much in the story, like Teuchi, doesn't do much, beloved and respected for a good reason.

Genma one of my favorite characters in Naruto…

Minato: “I will teach you the flying raijin cus I know you will teach my future son in case shii hits the fan.” Genma: “Uh-huh sure.”

If he’s a special Jonin then he’s definitely Jonin for his combat skills, his taijutsu and ninjutsu are very strong, it’s possible his espionage and assassination skills just weren’t up to snuff, but he got Jonin title for his strength, like Might Gai(Guy)

Not treating someone special to you is like not talking to a hot girl. Dont mess up yourself or them. Just let it be. No one would dare approach the hokage. Same with naruto. Many fear the beasts, others wouldn't want to be cought up in stuff that may turn sour for no reason. That is what i give leniency to the strange story of naruto. The problem with having so many characters is if you give them all screen time, no time passes. The first naruto battle takes the entire first season. Zabuza.

The Main Cast of Naruto ruins our perceptions of the verse so easily. These Jonin look like bums because the show turned into Chakra Mechs nuking each other until one goes down.

He was really Powerful because both raido and genma fought with orochimarus four strongest test subjects nearly defeated them and eventually forced then to use the second form of their cursed seal . He is a elite jonin.

Minato didn't pick his guard because they were individual strong he chose them because they specifically made him stronger Edit: there all sensory ninja, he has jonin level sensory abilities because in conjunction with the others Minato can see alot farther and just mop the floor all over the battlefield
