Love how Agad questions the wisdom of a top GM losing a Giuoco Piano and getting at best an equal position, when he could have gained eternal glory by winning a classical game against a world champion by playing the Evans Gambit - and getting a great story to tell his friends at the bar and at the library!

I also think that Ju Wenjun's actual game strength is higher than her official rating. Her FIDE level is 2550, but she has recently beaten at least a few GMs above 2600, and has won a few times against players at 2700. She hasn't played any major tournaments in the last few years, but she seems to have been training a lot. For sure she is closer to the level of a super GM than a weak GM from the lower score limit to win the title.

Poll: Which anime character best suits world chess champion Magnus Carlsen? Bobby Fischer would agree with me. Hikaru Nakamura is almost as evil as the Hikaru in Oshi no Ko. Magnus Carlsen is almost as evil as Light Yagami. A - Light Yagami from Death Note - who is not as big a sore loser as Magnus Carlsen Vs Hans Niemann or Wesley So --> Btw in this case Magnus' Death Note is Magnus' power over tournament directors. Magnus can manipulate chessc*m to remove Hans from the 2022 CGC. Magnus can manipulate FIDE to lower the time controls in the 2022 WFRCC so that Wesley So will be less favoured to win. B - Bandit Keith from Yu-Gi-Oh! - who is a hypocritical cheater for cheating but then accusing Joey of cheating like Magnus who cheated but then accused Hans of cheating C - TALENTLESS Nana Hiiragi - because Magnus is TALENTLESS for losing to Wesley So in the world Fischer Random chess championship DESPITE being then 4x reigning world chess champion. (In chess, how good you are is a combination of opening theory & then talent after the opening is done. In chess960, there's no opening theory, so if you lose, then the only reason is talent. This makes Magnus TALENTLESS because h strength is 99.9% opening theory and 0.1% talent.) Based on episode 1: Magnus Carlsen reveals to Wesley So that Magnus is actually Talentless, and that Magnus is killing Wesley So before Wesley So leads the other Talented to become the true Enemies of Chess. As Wesley So loses Wesley So's grip and falls away, Magnus receives a text message claiming Magnus has saved one million people from chess960. (But for real Nana can account for the unexpected. Nana is talented Wesley So in mind battles!) D - Ash Ketchum from Pokémon, world champion - JUST KIDDING. MAGNUS WAS NEVER THE WORLD CHAMPION. . . . . . P.S. Please help get Wesley So on Lex Fridman's podcast. See xcdhgq

Not taking away from the world champion as she is obviously great, but Vidit deserves that punishment. I’ll never forget how Vidit made up a story about getting robbed in the Philippines, and when he was offered help by the police and a news reporter who wanted to cover his concern, he had nothing to show. They checked the CCTV footage and it only showed that the beggar asked for money. No violence, aggression, or whatsoever happened. Vidit wrote an apology, saying, “the kid was a minor, so i’m fine” lol you didn’t admit anything, because you’re still saying you got robbed. stoopid. That’s why I don’t buy this guy’s antics. I love my Indian friends. So respectful and family-oriented. But Vidit’s an exception.

@@fsxmantra Vidit’s adopted that bollywood drama in fabricating his story. He knew he was exposed for lying, so he apologized, but he didn’t admit. Instead, he was still claiming it’s true and was like, “i was robbed but since he’s a minor I won’t file charges” again, no robbery took place. He was just angry that the hotel service was not up to his standard. People should really stop looking up to that guy.

Judging by his posts, he was just angry because he didn’t like the hotel and taxi service here, and I won’t question that. But he liked to get more sympathy so he made up that story.

Blame game not player? Vidit is the top Indian classical 9LX player & should be a huge reason why India wants classical 9LX. Vidit beat Sergey Karjakin to get in the 2019 WFRCC quarter-finals. But then... Wesley So & Fabi expectedly do better in classical 9LX than in rapid 9LX. Now, I'm not familiar with Vidit but - Wesley So does 30% better. - Fabi does 40% better. - VIDIT DOES 300% BETTER. LIKE 50% CLASSICAL AND 12.5% RAPID. Vidit - is the worst rapid 9LX player among the top 9 of the 2019 WFRCC. - in classical ties for 2nd place with Fabi & Nepo behind Wesley So. Source : p1w4Rr-bC p1w4Rr-bC p1w4Rr-bC
