How Strong is a Saltwater Crocodile Compared to Other Crocodilians

How Strong is a Saltwater Crocodile Compared to Other Crocodilians
The world's waterways hold ancient predators. Creatures forged in a forgotten era, where raw power reigned supreme. Among them is the saltwater crocodile - a beast of teeth and muscle, with a bite force that’s considered the strongest of any living animal. But in the world of crocodilians, is the saltwater crocodile truly the undisputed champion?

@berserker135, its correct english name is "north american crocodile", the north american crocodile (Neosuchus acutus) is the type species of the genus Neosuchus, a genus that contains all true crocodiles (subfamily Crocodylinae) that live exclusively in the New World, the other three species of this genus are the belize crocodile (Neosuchus moreletii), the cuban crocodile (Neosuchus rhombifer), and the orinoco crocodile (Neosuchus intermedius), also, the north american crocodile (Neosuchus acutus) lives more often in freshwater and also is present in brackish water, thus making the saltwater crocodile (Thalassosuchus porosus) the only true marine reptile among crocodilians (order Crocodilia).

Nile crocodiles are the largest crocodiles in the world.Idk why everyone understimates African animals. Size:nile croc average 4.2m-5.3m and 500-700kg.Salties average 3.5-5m and 400-550kg Max size nile croc is 6.5m and 1.200kg while saltwater croc is 5.5-6.5m and 1tone. Biggest specimen of nile croc was 7.6m and 1.700(empty stomach), biggest saltie was 6.1-6.7m and 1.100kg On Burundi was the largest nile croc(not gustave). Bite force:5.000lbfs is the bite of the nile croc proven by Brady Barr and scientists.Saltie only has 3.700lbfs. Nile crocodiles are more aggressive killing 600 people per year and faces more predators. They are also tougher and have thicker hides than salties which only has soft skin on it's neck(of all big crocodilians salties are the one with the weakest hides).Nile crocs have much more fighting experience, because the face more challenges and predators like lion prides and of course hippos. And having more reflexes and agility than the saltwater croc makes another advantage. Nile crocs are stated as the 3rd bravest animal in Africa, that's why they are attacking elephants and rhinos and in some cases killed female rhinos and cutting in half the trunk of elephants. It's obviously that nile croc beat saltwater croc.

You make a decent point regarding the mugger or marsh crocodile. However, I know for a fact that in certain areas of Sri Lanka, where marsh crocs co-exist with the much rarer saltwater croc, a big salty will always dominate a typical marsh croc. Salties are larger (for sure) & more aggressive than marsh crocs. The largest marsh croc was around 17 to 18 ft; the largest saltwater croc maybe closer to 22-23 ft.
