You know, I recognized the yugioh theme and had to listen to it, but I ended up listening to the forbidden memories free duel ost rather than duelists of the roses cuz that's the game I grew up playing for many years, and this video brought back memories lol

Colossal W for making the documentary + colossal secondary W for adding the list of music you used (people almost never do that, and it always makes me sad when they use a banger, but I can't find it because they're talking over it ;w;)

I hope the runners that retired from this game found themselves at a nice big island. With a nice big drink, and a woman with nice big... Bags of ice for their head.

It's kinda weird yet awesome to see myself being enshrined in something Crash-related, much less speedrunning even lol. It's awesome to see so many people improve onto sub 50 even just from the Mach Tornado discovery alone. Abdulling was such a terrible sounding name for a move 😂, hence why I opted for Hyper Spin at the time. Beautiful compilation of so many great people. Will want to come back and knock some stuff around in Crash 2 and 3 sometime.

The biggest gripe I will always have with the name Abdulling is that some of the same people who suggested it also later on threw a massive hissy fit over the fact that we called Hobslide Hobslide (admittedly, not a great name either, but it stuck) lol. Regardless, thank you Abdul. I’m really glad you liked it. Would love so see you around again; I still dip into NST in short bursts here and there, but I’d love to rediscover the fire for running it I once had.

Hi there Potty
Amazing video. I love these history of run videos. Seeing all the different runners come and leave, records pass from person to the next, and minute barriers thought impossible become possible as they continue to push forward for the next barrier to break. It’s cool to see how these runners were able to push the game to it’s limit and you did a great job conveying that story.
Its amazing how 2 of these tricks, hobsliding and the underwater clip, were found by complete accident.

I love the beautiful duality of speedrunning strats. Whenever someone asks “How is this even found,” the answer is, “Having an idea and meticulously testing it till you find a breakthrough,” or, “Accident lol”
This is really cool. I remember being in the crash speed running discord and asking for some help and you gave me genuine great advice and now to see you putting some some content is really cool and inspiring. Keep it up.
A wild journey, saying as someone who's been here since it started, watched how it evolved and tried looking for stuff to break the game even further, nice job Riko :)
What a masterpiece of a video!!! I LOVED IT. I had never really seen much of the crash 3 nst runs since its not really one of my favorite games on the trilogy but this video really made me appreciate the game and the run as a whole, I literally started the video and didn't move out of my seat till the end. Keep up the good work man!!! This video was fire!!!
Been binging your speedruns recently, but your new content is on fire, great video and obviously a whole load of effort went into it. Great job!
Ive been legit wanting some crash speedrun content, great work!
I'm glad to see your youtube popping off. You deserve it for how much time you've dedicated to the series over the years. And to me, you seem like great guy from all the streams I've watched. Keep up the great work my man.
Phenomenal video, really enjoyed seeing the journey that this game has gone through!
Amazing video! Great editing and awesome music to create the atmosphere for each part. Congratulations for the amazing work!

What an amazing video! Its so nice to see the entire history of the game as a "new" runner that started almost a year ago. U did a great job

Such a well done video. Also being a Yu-Gi-Oh fan hearing duelist of the roses osts and road to the king being mentioned was pretty cool.
This was a really good video I enjoyed how you explained a lot of tricks and the console differences etc. I think more explanation of the details of the route would’ve helped! I’m someone who’s never played these games and maybe it’s just me, but I like to know a bit about the game’s world/learn some things about the speedrun framed within the game world. Like during a lot of the cool montages throughout this video, I just had like no frame of reference for what I was looking at

I definitely leaned a bit too hard on the assumption that people watching would know the game already casually, and that’s something I’m keeping in mind to fix with future videos. Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Really well done video.
Man you can just SEE the amount of effort put into this. Good damn video.
The YGO: Master Duel song at the end of the video was a great refference to the moment of the YGO Philosophy you quoted on the video. GG!

Very nice vid, very well made.
Dayum, back in the early 2000s I've been grinding Crash 3 on ps1, trying to get all the platinum relics. Maan, that was something, when I've finally done it, was like a world record to me lol. Thank you Riko for capturing this exact emotion in video, watched it on a single breath.

It has been great as a viewer watching the journey of Crash 3 NST Any%!
The OG PS1 game was even easier to break with the "god mode" demo glitch. You have to wait for the demo of the plane level "Bye Bye Blimps" to start, hold triangle the whole time the demo is loading, and you'll be able to play the level when it starts the demo. Exit the level once you can control the game, and you will appear in the center of the warp room with all the end game power ups including the bazooka and the Crash Dash. If you finish the level normally, you'll be in Warp Room 4 but the game will lock you inside of it with the electricity, you'll be softlocked.
@RikoKSB
6 ай бұрын
Funny thing is that the speedrun that uses this glitch isn’t even faster than simply playing the game normally. 😂
Such a well made video! This is now my new favorite video from you! Oh, so question: with the double sliding and more discoveries potential with hobsliding, how much time can be saved in a 108% run with both of these 2 tricks?
@RikoKSB
6 ай бұрын
The 108% record was actually beaten very recently! Not sure how much lower it can go because there’s a lot more going on in that category so it’s hard to say.
31:30 woah, didn't expect the sudden brize forest theme there!
This is some SummoningSalt level speed video. Very interesting. Great mix of gameplay in the run.
If u continue like that..u might be able to be as good as summoning salt..keep up the good work❤️
Dude, was that Duelist of the Roses music in the background when the Yu-Gi-Oh! card quote part came up? Loved that game, sure sounds like it to me. Overall very interesting video, never cared too much for speed running, but Crash 3 was THE game of my childhood, so felt like I had to click this recommended video and it's got a lot of cool stuff. well put together narrative and all.

1:02:10 I wouldn't call this "a single skip" so much as a reroute. There's a lot of re-learning to do.

great work , its always good to see the history of techs used in a game ! crash 3 being one of my favorite is a plus lmao
8:43 I was curious, does it work that way in the PS1 version, if you were to hack around the electric gates?
@RikoKSB
5 ай бұрын
Yes. If you use the glitch in the PS1 version to take control of the Bye Bye Blimps demo, and then you clear that entire Warp Room, it will unlock the button for Tiny and lock you into Warp Room 4.
As a Yu-Gi-Oh fan, it's wild to see that something from my neck of the woods was applicable to Crash speedrunning.
