I'd like to give a special thanks to BumpWorthy.com for keeping so many pieces of art I love from being lost. If you've been there before you should. You can waste an afternoon finding hundreds of bumps you've never seen.
As well as the channel [Bumper Collective] who have been working to keep a style of art I think should be it's own distinct genre actively alive for years now. Seriously GO SUBSCRIBE to
[Bumper Collective]. I know there are a ton of [as] fans who would appreciate them. I've seen those comment sections.
Music:
DFNKT - Liberosis
Toonami Deep Space Base - Capslock
Kaytradamus - What?
No More Heroes OST - Do Not Destroy
MF DOOM Special Herbs - Yellow Dock/Peach Extract

I'm really glad you made this. For someone that was around when this was on TV, it definitely has an aesthetic aspect to it, amplified by the fact that if you wanted to spend time on a screen, you either had to deal with commercials, blow on a cartridge, or install games from a floppy disk and the installation would take up 2-3 hours. Things were pretty boring compared to how they became with the advent of the actual internet. Hearing Zorak talk with that SFX in the background had a pretty big effect. There is no way to describe that word we are looking for, (not nostalgia) but I totally get it. I think the best way I can describe it is with music, the main theme for Space Ghost says it all. Blockbuster, cassette boomboxes, pop rocks, baggy pipe jeans, radio shack, it's almost as if someone threw it all into a garbage can and shook it creating the theme to Space Ghost.

Did you know the J Dilla beat to the park bump, the vocals come from the old 10cc song "Johnny don't do it" it's made of a nostalgic work too just like many of the cartoons on adult swim.

That is one of the most impressive sample flips I’ve ever heard. I did know about that one. I watch a lot of sample break downs. I find a lot of great music I wouldn’t know about that way. I’ve made videos where I use the original because it fits the vibe I want better. Thanks for the comment.

Being 5, 6 and 7 years old and sometimes managing to secretly staying up late to watch this was always the mind blowing experience that made me laugh out loud while simultaneously not understanding anything that was going on at times. I was too young to know who half those guests were, but it didn't matter. My mom watched the original Space Ghost in the 60's and she hated the show 'cause she thought it was the most idiotic and nonsense thing possible, plus it was on way past my bedtime, but she knew how much I loved it. Eventually I watched the original show when it was on on Boomerang, along with Herculoids (my mom's favorite). I miss the 90's, man. Damn. Here I am at 30 watching Space Ghost Coast To Coast videos on KZread and having a laugh with my mom remembering the nostalgia. This show was just incredible. I had no idea of its cultural relevance back in the day, I just thought it was a whacky show and Zorak was hilarious.

Wow, I truly don’t get your disdain for Cartoon Planet. To me it feels like they had fun and put a lot of creativity into making it, it’s stupid but that’s part of the joke.

I thought Cartoon Planet was just Space Ghost Coast to Coast retooled to be more appropriate for children. Which, if you have to watch TV with children, is appreciated. Having something that appeals to both kids and adults is a good thing because otherwise you end up watching “Dora the Explorer”, which is mind-numbing.

i was around. i was 6 when spctc aired. i used to sneak out of my room at night go upstairs and watch it on low sitting close to the tv to hear it so i wouldnt get caught. i didnt understand anything to be honest because i was too young but as the years went on i started getting the jokes more and more and it began shaping who i am today. i think if you were a kid in the 90s and were able to watch it from if not the beginning at least 2 or 3 seasons in you probably feel the same as me when i say that when adult swim aired for the first time it was like this perfect pay off - you were too young to understand space ghost but grew up with it and hit pre teen years when adult swim aired so you were at the right age to get it.

My introduction to all things adult swim, was a new years marathon of Cartoon Planet and Space Ghost Coast to Coast. My stomach hurt so bad from hours of laughing. Around the same time my little brother was talking about MC Pee Pants, soon enough we were both hooked on those Aqua Teens.

Hey, sorry it took me so long on the feedback thing. Starting with this video, I can immediately say I’m into what you’ve got going on. You’ve got a good voice/delivery for this stuff, interesting approach to the subject matter, a *great* pitch for Space Ghost (as someone who hasn’t watched it), and funny jokes complemented by the editing. My only complaint is purely preferential, and that’s that the mellow pace of the video is a bit slow for me. It’s ENTIRELY likely that’s just a “me” thing, as a lot of the channels that I take major influence from made a point of getting ideas and punchlines across quickly. Don’t take this as a suggestion that you *have* to speed up if that’s not your preference, just saying, I did go through a lot of this video at 1.25 speed.

Hey man, thanks for responding and thanks for being honest. And, no. I don't think it's just you on the speed criticism because I was worried about that. I'm not used to recording so I was so focused on reading the script and sounding clear that the delivery was way too slow. Now that I'm sure It's problem I'll know to work on it. And thanks for the compliments. Whether or not I'm actually was my biggest question mark. Again, thanks. This was valuable and gonna keep following your stuff.

What a great question. What I'll do is make one video about all the popular [as] shows that aren't [as] shows like Futurama and Family Guy. Because they're so well covered and I don't think I can add much but I can't really ignore them either, they're too important to the history. I'll probably call it "Keeping the Lights On"
