alarlol skateparks have a direction they’re supposed to be skated and often times younger kids on scooters don’t know that and don’t use it the right way, therefor getting in the way. also doing stuff like sitting in the bowls, in front of obstacles, and on ledges

My respect for almost every skater in parks is that whenever they get snaked, their first instinct is to jump off the board. a lot of the time, they are twice the height of the scooter kid but they don’t intentionally hurt them. i know it’s also to save themselves from injury but the kid could have a lot more damage done to them.

Here’s the thing, we are one big community just trying to have fun, it’s the people who constantly rag on other people for enjoying what they love to do. We must build this community up not tear it down by making fun of other people or kids for doing what they love. As someone just stopping by on a late-night rabbit hole visit, I feel like as long as you just find a spot at the skatepark and try your best to not get in anybody's way, it doesn't really matter what you're doing there. When I was younger I took my scooter to a skate park and some teenagers with skateboards came and asked If I wanted them to teach me how to ride a skateboard and then I said yes and they inspired me to skate and I had so much fun learning with them

RAZOR X They don’t always trip. There’s some scooter people who are actually talented, And respect others. It’s pretty great skating, but im not gonna hate on any scooter just cause they’re using a scooter and not a skateboard like most at the skatepark. I think if you can respect the skatepark and the people, no one should have a problem with you. It is annoying when kids snake and shit tho.

The thing with "snakeing" is that alot of skateboarders will say that scooter users snake infront of them, yet end up snakeing infront of scooters even more. When I was little my dad took me to a skate park I had a scooter but I didn’t know how to do anything but then I saw the half pipe so I went up there tried to drop in and crashed then a group of teenage skaters came up to me and taught me how to drop in I will never forget that

That first interaction was cool as hell, a lot of parents give kids scooters instead of skateboards under the impression they're somehow safer and the kids just learn to live with it however they can. They're either real, or they become Billy-Big-Bollocks and mess up the park for everyone else. Giving that kid a board and a decent conversation was a solid move, much respect.

@@Twowheeleddevil I would think they’d both be just as dangerous that all depends on what the fuck you’re doing with it.. if you’re just riding around then obviously handles are helpful but that doesn’t mean you can’t fall though, or get hit with them.. lol basically you can pretty much get slammed on either one so just pick what you like!! Personally skateboards look prettier to me lol
