You are a hero! I was cleaning the interior and accidently moved the lock. I was scared of having to drive 80 miles back home with one hand on the steering and the other on the door. In the parking lot a slight turn would instantly have the door wide open.

Thank you very much. 2014 Chevy Silverado. Front driver side door was stuck open. This was exactly the type of solution I was looking for. It worked perfectly the first time. Much appreciated. Found this video at about 11:20 pm and now I don't have to leave my truck door OPEN all night outside, and don't have to drive down the highway with a strap keeping the door from flying open.

This fix is so stupidly easy!!! Why did I not think of it??? I tried EVERYTHING on my driver side door! Inside door lock, automatic lock switch, charge the battery to make sure it had enuff juice, screwdriver in the lock mechanism...I even tinkdered with the passenger side door with a screwdriver, and ended up locking that latch, too! Now both doors would not close!!! With this video, I was able to fix both doors in 30 seconds! THANK YOU!

Omg thank you I was driving with right hand on wheel left hand in back holding the door! Almost didn't make it on turns with this huge suv first thought💭 call the plumber! Great video, helped me out in a pinch when it was 5 degrees out and wife's door wouldn't close! A lttle chain and cable lube sprayed in there helps keep things moving nicely as well. Thanks again!

Thank you so much. I couldn't get this mechanism to move until I did what you demonstrated. I had slammed the door because it was misaligned after using lockout tools and the wedge somehow must have moved the hinge.I loosened the hinges and fixed the alignment and then tightened when the height was correct and then saw this mechanism would not move by door handle or prying(do not attempt-I slightly damaged it). Gotta check out KZread. Two at the same time worked. Thank you. Thank you.
