Keep in mind that if this happens during the freezing temperatures of winter, or just after a snowstorm, the snow melts and then freezes again, this can also cause issues inside your door latch.
If this happens to be the case, then consider the obvious, and warm the mechanism up a few degrees with a heat gun, or hair dryer.

Yet the patients who take their Rx as prescribed, so they can have a little function of life, become punished and forced to be bedridden and live a hellishly miserable life in a most painful paralysis.
The situation was created by the US government and many are dying because of it. From self infliction of no longer getting pain meds with the only escape of the suffering being death, or going on the street in search of relief and dying by accident.
HOW MANY GOOD PEOPLE MUST PERISH BECAUSE OF THIS INHUMANE INJUSTICE

the problem is that the door will close all the way but the latch won't lock the door to the vehicle. thus the door could open at any time.

Exact problem I’m having 2 years later and there’s no video on that scenario only for ones whose latch is locked down. Mine isn’t locked the door just won’t catch!🤦🏾♀️

@@elimawilson5745 nope no luck, and the mechanic I went to told me id need a new door! My dad ended up taking my whole latch & lock off and readjusted them .

I have the opposite problem. Door doesn't want to stay closed and won't lock.
My car door latch doesn’t latch when closing the door. I can freely move the latch up and down but no locking as if the door is closed.

Could be a spring or a piece may have broke off the mechanism bummer.
What "button on the door" are you talking about? Unlock button? Thxs. I think my dodge is more than just a stuck latch. First passenger side wudnt lock, then when that onw did, the drivers side started not latching. Drivers side also pings when trying to close it :-(.

Might be an internal part bent inside or maybe the spring is week or broken. But first always check to make sure it's not any dirt or debris. Maybe flush it with some WD-40 while moving it.
I usually just beat it with a hammer and it doesnt come open again ... EVER !!! 😂🤣

Maybe that spring inside is broke. If it has no spring action. I don't know, I wish I was there to help. Wiggle it with a screwdriver ?, while hitting some WD-40 on it ? Just a quick spray, never over use it.

Try wd 40 and clean it really good. Maybe the spring is broke. If that doesn't work... Then find the biggest hammer you can find, and smash it as hard as you can a bunch of times, while yelling out it's name. Make sure you yell loud enough so that your neighbors can hear ya

How is she supposed to know what's wrong with the door? Maybe the car manufacturers could create something that is not plastic, and something that won't malfunction so easily.
