Soon basic income has to be a thing! If we all made the same money and we would do whatever we want, i would probably learn programming to help develop more and better robots..

After watching the video, I can't help but sigh about the development of industrialization. The equipment in the video is unfamiliar to many people and difficult to see in life. They provide more convenient and fast possibilities for agriculture.

@Michael G I know he is asking UBI but we are not there yet! We have worker shortage currently because don’t want work! I am so glad he didn’t win. UBI will make sense when work will be hard to find on the mass otherwise it will just make ppl lazy and want things without contributing

Ewww @0:39 those blue robot hands are moving around dead fishes... and then they are moving around Peeps... I hope the robot's mother told him to wash his hands between chores.

@@mikeywolfno.7 Thanks for the correction, it is fish not fishes... been too long since 7th grade English kept me straight on that stuff. And no clue what you mean by subnautica... I was joking about how they showed the robot handling fish and then showing it handling Peeps which would be a sanitary nightmare. I do realize those were two separate instances of the cool use of this robot.

This is why there needs to be high taxation on robots in the future. You need to find a balance between being able to create a profit and generating taxes for the good of the people. If not you will end up with a new feudalistic system where you've changed the nobility with business owners.

No wtf. Humans can just switch job types. Art and music which used to be garbage will be the new job space since machines can't be creative

A big thing about this is you increase economies of scale. You lower your expense cost by little to know human involvement(Maybe to service the robots etc), which cascades down to the finished sold product. Yes at first profit margins for these robotic businesses will be high, but as others join the market they will lower the prices until there is less profit margin. A perfectly competitive market. This will lower the price of the good SUBSTANTIALLY as there are no labor costs. If we can manage to produce energy for a very low price, and have all of the labor done by machines the only thing the end consumer pays for is the materials/Movement cost. This begs the question of how do the consumers get paid if they don't have jobs? That's an interesting predicament society will have to figure out when we get to that point. Maybe the idea of Universal basic income will be a good idea? I have no clue how these problems will be resolved but we will figure it out. Automation should be the future, I'm excited and also worried just because we have to overcome these new challenges to our current economic model. It will definitely increase our society's efficiency and ability to do great things.

Or mass farming protests. Like the ones that they're having in Europe all the damn time over emissions. The governments of Europe can quite literally pull funding for agriculture, put it towards farming automation and toss all the farmers out of the job.

So... how will people be able to afford their produce, if robots have replaced themin THEIR jobs, I wonder.... When all the cashiers have been replaced by smart checkouts.... When all the factory workers have been replaced by smart assembly robots When all the warehouse staff have been replaced by stock handling robots When all the buses and taxis have been replaced by self-driving ones When all the teachers have been replaced by self-directed online courses When all the doctors have been replaced by scanning diagnostic machines...
