This is how rings training is transforming my upper body strength. I did a 30 day test to see if training rings at home could help improve my upper body strength, and I was amazed at how gymnastics rings workouts increased my pullups, dips and pushups. I've really been enjoying calisthenics workouts and body weight exercises, and this was a good 30 challenge. Thanks for watching, and I hope you like it!
Have a great week guys! Cheers.

    Awesome! Just watch out when you're doing the dips. It's easy to drop too far down and "rest" on the shoulders. Don't use full shoulder mobility but instead stop one or two inches to avoid shoulder strain/injuries. You're doing good for only a month of training!

    Sadly, I can confirm this from my experience - the same ligament on both shoulders is always inflamed for a few days after doing 'proper' range of motion dips. I know that people say you should do full range of motion, but what they omit telling you is to do full SAFE range of motion.

    nice vid man, ive subbed. Speaking from experience i have managed to achieve some muscle ups on rings (unfortunately cannot share due to it being recorded on an old phone) my method was weighted chinups and dips (on reg equipment), muscle up transition practice with a resistance band looped around the rings and under your butt essentially making a seat that boosts you up and then just straight bodyweight chins and dips on rings. took me about 4 months of solid practice, like 3-4 days per week. i just obeyed simple prog overload except for skillbased stuff. its a helluva feeling nailing one! and i managed to nail five.

  • @OnePieceTheorist
    @OnePieceTheorist3 жыл бұрын

    For anyone wondering if they should/shouldn't buy the rings..buy them,they're definitely worth it,especially now during winter when you cant use bars because they're too cold. I've bought them about few months ago,and in just a few months of training i saw so much more improvement than working out 2 years on bars - especially since i can train rear,middle and front delts,can target each part of pecs,can actually progress in one arm pull up by lowering one ring so it makes the other hand work more,and can also quite more easily isolate biceps and triceps,and many many other things... There are no negatives about the rings since i bought them,if you use them smart.

    Heck yeah, I love my rings! My favourite exercise equipment by far. Thanks for making this video, I am sure it has inspired many people to give rings a try. One small nitpick at 7:38 - you're trying to warm up your rotator cuffs in an outward motion, but the pull is downwards (gravity), which is counterproductive. Anchor a resistance band on a vertical pole, and pull at it instead :D

    Congratulations! Great improvement. Two things: doing push-ups after dips must have skewed your results; the low ceiling was really bugging me when you were indoors.

    I find that training the whole body on rings one day at of two is getting me more progress on big movements than seperating body muscles

    Good Job man ! I would bring it back to fundamentals on ring before i take it any further . Ur form is suffering . Scapular control and locking elbow / turning elbow pit to the outside is necessary if u want to progress any further. Train top support holds ( in good form ) Include some inversion as well

    When you're doing dips on the rings try to find a higher mounting point for the straps as now the angle of the straps is changing as your hands move a little in and out with each rep. Also look for swings as they are often much higher than any pullup bar, plus they are braced at about a 60 degree angle so its rock solid, unlike that flimsy squat rack thing you have outside at home. That is rather pointless as it's moving when you're moving. At home mount a bar to your ceiling (very securely using multiple mounting points...be very redundant!) using headless bolts that have a wood thread and a machine thread for anchoring the bar to or a large plate of thick plywood or steel. You want your mount spread out over as large an area as possible. Try to keep your legs straight, whether in your L-sit or normal vertical position. Again you'll need a higher mounting point for those straps. And spread the straps apart more when you're doing dips so the straps don't rub your forearms. It's a little harder but far more comfortable. So few people understand this. If you lose a little bit of fat you will see a huge increase in calisthenics performance. It's shocking how much easier things can be when we shed a few pounds. Try to work out before eating as well, after defecation so you're lighter. Everything helps. Say NO to breakfast, the most pointless meal of the day. Nothing but room temperature, purified water for a few hours is best. Zero caffeine. We don't need more stimulants in our life. You've got a good bone structure for this if you can get lean. You will be very surprised what you will be able to do in a while if you continue and don't give up. Calisthenics can be discouraging when you see roided out people doing impossible moves. Ignore them. Just focus on how good you feel after each workout and that will draw you back. Your video work is really good. Very easy to watch. No wonder you have half a million subs.

    Rings are amazing. You can row, pushup, and rear delt row every day, and explode in size and strength.
