Really happy that you made a video about this. I made a post in the oem feedback about the weird 450 front ends and how rider weight adjustment is the only thing that seems to help/make worse. Good to see this is being looked into. Also, enjoyed that you controlled the variables by keeping the suspension the same.

As I respect your decision to not disclose how you do this, I must ask though... If people can use other ways to fake lap times in singleplayer, then why does this method matter if the public knows it? In my opinion they are just fast lap times across hundreds of tracks most aren't even that important. With that being said, I think it would be really awesome to explain how this is done so others could possibly make mods using the technique and make the game better for ourselves. Just food for thought and hope this is up for possible discussion, appreciate the vids and keep them coming.

Same reason I can't get on your bike and ride. We weigh different amounts. Sag needs to be re adjusted. Literally dirt bike 101. This game is trying to be a sim. Ride it like irl and you go faster

I'm a relatively new player, don't run championships or anything of that sort, I think it'd be awesome to add a weight and height adjustment purely for fun, running your own height and weight that you are in real life could be cool, more of an aesthetic for me personally tho, not sure what it would be like with the Ariel series and mxgp

If this option became a thing, it'd just end up like everything else. Where someone(s) finds the best rider size, and then everybody uses it.

I think this should be a setting in game along with a height slider because 5’7 is short for some sections like the whoops and riding sand when standing is the better option through corners. It would make the game way more diverse

Is it not 80kg in gear? Proper race fit in my 20s I was 74kg, and roughly the same height, so would likely have been around 80kg geared up. Comfortably over that now though.

since, im assuming, u have a good connection with the developer team, any idea if this will be something changeable in servers in the future? and same with things like bike accessories?

when I played around with rider weights...I found a number around 65-70 was pretty sweet. I only did supercross testing with it and I don't recall having too much trouble with whoops. I think there might be a CoG issue that could be corrected, as well. It typically feels like the rider weight is too far rearward in the neutral position..hence loop outs being crazy easy.

@@silly-xd8uq yes100. I can confirm. Pkz are zip files.newer tracks and oem bikes are locked. But you can still patch over them if you make a folder with the same name and put the mod files in there, like model swaps and track potato patches are done. Most the other files are editable with notepad++ it's all in the pibosso mod creation wiki page. Has been for years.

The same way you can still do a model swap you can swap in modded physics.

Lynda I think you have one big oversight with this video, you absolutely should have adjusted your spring and preload to get the correct sag value for each changed rider weight. Of course stock 80kg would be best since that's what the OEM pack are set up for out the box. It's not exactly a fair comparison Otherwise I will say 72kg was the best in my own testing. But you have to set sag to have a proper representation of the changed handling

Im 5'10" and 170lbs(i believe about 77kg) so i guess stock settings are just about right for my actual size lol

You should do a vid on the base game 450 it feels good compared to oem

What track are you on?

if these bikes are somewhat set up like their IRL versions it makes sense that 70kg works best. My mechanic once told me that its the weight most of the stock suspensions are set up for.

stock bikes are usually setup to work best with the average weight of a region the bikes are being sold in, so yes that sounds right

Would love to see a slider for weight added to the game. I could see it being a huge plus and huge negative. The plus being it adds a lot more diversity to the setups and adds even more strategy to the game. But that is also the negative, the added diversity of customization of a setup for a game that is far less than stable with it's physics can certainly bring up a lot of unforseen issues

I have such a hard time getting the bike to stop wheelying. I try to be easy on the throttle and have even played with linearity and smoothing settings and can't get it to work. Any tips?

All about throttle control try to learn to only push the throttle halfway instead of just slamming it in on your right stick that you use to lean hold that forward and your front end will stay down a lot more

Well seeing that it says RIDER was your issue means that the files to adjust are in the RIDER folders. Now which one I might add. I won’t disclose but there’s your hint

Trying to explain to everyone how that when they make there rider taller they have to adjust the sag. Or weight at all. Or the bike won't work right just like irl.... That is why. Most people don't even know. That's why the noobs have the wheelie problem.. set your sag for Christ sake. Same way I hope you would never rider your bike irl without doing it. I'm very fond of your videos, watch(-ed) all of them and will continue to do so! This one not so much.. In my opinion this video only causes further confusion when it comes to understanding how MXB physics work or how to properly set your bike up. The title misleading as what you're displaying is what happens in MXB when you swing your leg over a bike that is not setup correctly for your weight. Most of your conclusions are linked to suspension being off rather than the rider being too light or heavy. Sure, weight impacts movement. But it for example does not impact how bouncy the bike is. That would be 100% suspension just being off in relation to rider weight. In theory you'd get similar results if you left the rider weight as is but did change the suspension settings to something similar to the bike setups that someone of 50kg or 110kg would use.

Slider just like deform most likely if they have enough people agreeing

Lynds you must always set the front and rear sag the same as it is set for an 80kg rider. This way it wont feel as bojncy and the rear will actually compress. 30kg is a huge difference and the suspension woukdve felt SOLID. Adjusting the preloads solves this. U really shouldve done this before to get a true representation of whay changing rider weight actually can achieve. Pointless video without setting the bike up properly for each weight.

@@LyndsMX alrighty, cause i wonder how a like 6ft rider would ride. would it be better for bumps cause the rider would be able to stay in a better form or what. but would be cool and i agree with you on the custom height and weight. but i'd personally add pros and cons to be say a shorter/lighter rider and ect. would be cool but i think it would also be hard implement something of that nature yk.

Love the track your own sardegnia or whatever i can barely pronounce it lol but I don't worry about all the technical stuff I just put sand tires on it and go and I'm only 203 hours in and I can match your best lap on that sand track

First of all, you do realise how narcissistic you sound, right? Second, nobody likes people that brag on themselves, nobody likes liars, and no one cares... You are not and will never be a Lynds, straight up. Go brag on yourself where at least you can back it up where people care, or go qual for the Pro Series races and start your own channel with tens of thousands of subscribers. Really sad how people act tese days, go out and get some real world experience, your young age shows in how you talk or comment.

I disagree with be able to change rider weight. All thats goin to happen is that a "meta" weight will be found and that will the only weight youll be able to run if you want to be competitive.

You need individual bike folders that automatically have a "paint" folder in each. When I first downloaded the oem pack, I didn't have folders. I had to delete all the oem bikes, then re-download. I believe the first time I tried it with Mega, but the folders didn't appear for me unless I downloaded the oems through mediafire (maybe vice-versa). Once you download a paint for the bike you want, you open that bike's folder, then drop it into the paint folder within that bike's folder. Hopefully this helps.

Just so you all know. We can all do this too. All piboso files are either renamed zip files or txt files. Anyone familiar with old school game dev early 2000s will be right at home. Opengl lolol, reversed norm direction it's all here.
