This really reminds me of the stability and similar settings that you get to play around with in MX Sim, it doesnt change anything about how the game work, just how it filters/interprets your inputs. I feel its fine because you're still on a level playing field with everyone else, still running the same bikes, tires, and physics, and the only thing making you faster or slower with changing it is skill. All it does is allow you to have more direct control over the bike, similar to turning off flight assists in a flight sim. There no body would bat an eye at someone with no assists winning a fight over someone with assists. Its only eliminating the limits put in place to make the game more easily controllable. Although I feel it would be better to have the option put in the game, similar to how erode in practice was only available through file editing before we got the slider.

for anyone who wants to switch over to it Hurren compound trails are very good practice for back to back turns and tight corners

Hey Lynds, this looks like a pretty sick thing to have available. As someone with 250 hours I'm definitely not going to be using it just yet but I feel this should be introduced as a setting in the game. At the moment it might seem quite "cheaty" but realistically it's an allowed value in the games code. Personally I'm quite used to looking at and editing config files and the fact they are in such a readable and accessible format shows to me that big P wants us to be able to edit it. Obviously I can't speak for anyone else but this is my opinion. Keep up the good work!

One thing I’ve been looking for is a way to make stand hold. When you turn on direct sit you’re always standing and only sit down when you click, but I want it the other way around. Like in halo when you could make it so you’re only crouching til you let go of the stick

Why though. You should be standing most of the time... So if you want it the other way you will be having to hold a button most of the time tying up a finger/thumb depending where you have it... I use that setting and I have 4 back paddles and still wouldn't want to have to dedicate 1 finger to holding down a button 80% to 90% a lap. More power to you if that's your thing though.

i got a revolution controller inside the settings i made my left stick a little more sensitive for the first 50% same effect but no fast centering

I will tried it I've been reali struggling with how twitchy I steering has been worked wonders just getting used to it now

i always felt that the steering was really slow for me ( using a actual steering wheel and now a diy one). Gonna test this after work. probable will help. Thank you brother. Edit: I can lean more on corners making it easier to steer the bike.

Finding this was huge for me using gyro lean, still bad at the game, but at least I can ride around and feel like I'm in control rather than suggesting what to do.

@@dsi24 My controller is a little less precise (using an old ps2 style controller) but it helps me more on the direction input. I can lean more on corners making it easier to steer the bike.

I'm enjoying watching your vids, even though I don't play this yet.

piboso needs to add this into the settings, otherwise casuals don't know it exists

Turn it to 0.45 op on 250s.

theres gotta be other changes in those settings you can change that people are doing and is worth talking about

I think it would be great to implement just brings a little more simulator to it I feel like and it’s something everyone can learn if they put in the time I don’t see it being “unfair”

Just use 100 direct lean feels the same it’s less aggressive and what hurlz used after a while

well after i tested this trying to revert it still pops like this settings do and makes it unplayable for me if let go of the stick i go flying after a turn and i put it back to default 🤣 and it still makes me do 360-720 all the time

I believe a change like this is acceptable mainly because it’s just a change up of rider style and to me it sounds like there’s a fairly even amount of pros and cons

I think if you adjusted your lean/gain stability you could make it better lynds! I’m not super fast but I’m about 4-5 secs off you at most tracks and I’m a pretty good tester (Also a pro motocross mechanic). I think your settings are perfect for how you normally play, but since it leans so much faster now, you’ll have to compensate by slowing down your lean/gain. I know you can get it mastered bro you’re the GOAT already

Allow all the files to be played with. We all access files to add mods so why not settings? Only thing that should be the same for all is grip

I really think piboso needs to have green lynx become a co dev bc he has studied the coded of this game for years now and has taken out all the “piboso physics” out of the game, but can’t give it to the public bc piboso won’t listen

Hurlz did run this setting for most of his time however he turned it off for his last few months on the game and ran leanhelp =1 and was still as fast

The whole reason I stopped playing Mx bikes is because I never knew settings like this existed. It almost exactly what I’ve been looking for 😂

After a 600 hrs play time in MX Bikes, I decided to turn off all the Rider Aids in my Settings. and i like the resulty

Makes me wonder what else they change that’s not in the main game

This trick with the new oem preview is just insane, I actually won't play the old oems anymore, it's too frustrating compared to the new ones. Hopefully they release at least just the KTM preview soon so everyone can try them. I'm sure it's going to be a mad rush once people feel how good these new bikes feel, I don't know what the hold up is since this completely fixes the game...

That's how i felt about the factory 250. I played in only testing for like 1500 hours. 1200 on oems, and like 300 on the factory 250 when it came out. I got sooo fast on that thing. Then I wanted to race online and had to go back to oems and they felt horrible. It took me a week to feel consistent again but now I'm PAINFULLY aware of all the little things I'm doing to mitigate the Inconsistancies. I can't ride the bike the way I want. It feels floaty, unstable, and heavy all at the same time inexplicably

I don’t understand why they don’t just do a hot fix for the whole pack with what they have done to the preview bikes so far, this setting actually makes me more comfortable on the current oem but the previews are next level like this lol this will be the best way to play the game once those are fully released

I think honestly if game files are allowed to be edited, the file changes should be advertised/mainstreamed instead of gatekeeping the information to pros only. I’m not a hater I love the game and the pro/competitive scene, but people gate keep a lot of information that randomly appears in KZread like this.

I dont believe it's been gate guarded. I've only had the game 2 months, and I have known about the 0-1-2 for lean help. On both forums and discord, the community shares knowledge and ideas. The only real thing that is gated is setups. That's a personal thing. Some people share their setups, tho; mostly youtubers.

I personally think this shouldn’t be allowed as it’s not an option in the actual game settings. I don’t believe there is people actually “cheating” however if this little change can be this drastic, what other special settings can be changed to make the game easier etc.

To me yes, if you have no traction help you spin the tire alot, if you have it on, you can't spin it, making you slower, but at like 0.3 or 0.45 you get very optimal traction.

Yeah this is definitely going to be a skill gap and i think 450 riders will benefit from it in the straights which in real life they should be so I think this is a good thing

This is kind of a botched setting setting me.. I like it but hate it at the same time... atleast my muscle memory does lol

If your going into notepad for anything its cheating. If it's not in the base game setting it's an advantage. Until it's in the game for someone to click, people are being sweaty. On that note I don't race on MXBikes, I will change the file and give it a go. For me I run in 3rd person and I feel a lag and disconnect with the bike even with proper fov. Interesting to see if this fixes that.
