How Richard Mosse Documents Life in Photography | Brilliant Ideas Ep. 75
Richard Mosse is an Irish photographer and filmmaker, who immerses himself in his subject, integrating documentary journalism and art practice to explore issues of conflict, displacement and perception. He is one of only two photographers ever to have won both the Deutsche Borse Prize and The Prix Pictet, two of photography's most prestigious international awards. Richard is working on his latest award winning project, Heat Maps, a detailed documentation of Europe’s refugee camps.

very touching work, Richard Moss!
One of the most inspiring names for me. Entering the world of thermal photography myself, there is only a few people too look up to. And Richard Mosse with Trevor Tweeton are at the very top.
This work of art (and journalism of the heart) should reach anyone who is reachable.
great idea worth spreading
total legend
Bloomberg? Loaded!

I true artist driven by curiosity. 😍
Helllo Richard, here is Daniel from your restaurant in Pipa - 'Cruzeiro do Pescador' . I'm very impressed with your work, not surprised, in fact, I must talk to you, very much. Could you kindle give me a feed back? Surely you know our adresses. Thank you very much and congratulations.
the same aerochrome film was used for the Hole's album cover of "Pretty on the Inside" in 1991
Who is the director? The information provided here seems insufficient for citing the film.
This isn't art. This is a blood diamond. The only people it "reaches" are in fact the same ivory tower crowd who buy diamonds. It's obscene.

I personally see nothing of the contra arguments like the exploitation of the people photographed beeing answered properly. "Striking" photographs and aesthetics against suffering? This man has made a fortune out of this and most of them people still don't have actual homes. Check your privilege audience
