Haroon Mirza's Provocative Sights and Sounds | Brilliant Ideas Ep. 70

London-based artist Haroon Mirza is at the forefront of British sound and installation art. Each element of Haroon’s work interacts and produces provocative sounds. Through the interplay of flashing lights, sound and object, Haroon explores profound themes of science, culture and religion, often drawn from his experiences of British and Pakistani culture.

I want to see the Artist work not just out of context - too much talk from curators etc. this is very poorly done !

Honestly, just check out all the artists that he has ripped off - he's great at re-presenting their ideas to stupid visual arts curators such as the ones you see here who know nothing about the history of political art but just jumping on the band wagon now...

@@victoriale6899 This Tiny Star guy is on every Mirza video i've seen on youtube, accusing him of plagarism. Very little art is truly "original" and most sound artists explore similar concepts. I wouldn't be put off looking at this guys work if i was you. Some cool artists: Adam Bassanta, Bernhard Leitner, Ryoji Ikeda, Ryoichi Kurusawa, Christian Marclay, Nicholas Bernier, Zimoun, David Toop, Alvin Lucier, Robin Minard, Carsten Nicolai, Florian Hecker, Francisco Lopez, Christina Kubisch, La Monte Young, Janet Cardiff.

@@benhall2235 there are artists who get influenced and acknowledge and there are those like this one that actually admit in interviews of taking original ideas from artists. Similarity in subject is one thing, actually copying pioneering original concepts and processes is another.
