Apart from coolant sensors, the front radiator is easily hit by stone chips which may cause leaks. Especially when driving with normal mode, watch out!

Good information, I have a 718 S, issues I've run in to at 40K, water pump failed (warranty fix), AC system stopped cooling (issue with some o-ring, warranty fix), and both rear inner boots leaking (same issue as yours, out of warranty quoted $1550, since boot is not torn I think this is a common but easy to fix that requires tightening the boot clamp).

coolant issue on one of my sports cars too. within 20 minutes i determined that the engine was not in fact too hot and so could drive it. turned out that the coolant temp sensor wire was loose. bad news is that the intake manifold had to be removed to get at it. and that cost about six hours of manual labor at $200 per hour.

If you are in any car that is starting to overheat, you can usually get home or at least to a good stopping point if you turn on the heater to the max temperature. It basically acts as a heat exchanger to cool down the coolanrt in the engine. Not sure why that would fix the coolant temperature sensors though.

It didn’t really “fix” the sensor. I think for whatever reason it made the cars computer realize it wasn’t over heating and set it back to the actual temperature.

Whats happening with the coolant temperature is that when you run the heater its actualy bleeding the heat out of your coolant. Theres a heater core in the cabin that the coolant runs through to heat the cabin.

My Macan S had a coolant line crack recently. $800 to repair. I hope this isnt a new pattern w/ P cars. None of the older ones I have seem to have this issue.

Just fixed my rear axle boot. New clamp from Pelican Parts. $2.50 plus shipping. 10 minute fix.

i did experience all your problem like coolant problem , wheel cailbration , ac stop working blah blah blah , all i found out is the battery problem. i changed a new battery and all the problem sloved

It's just little minor things steal your car is gorgeous and porch builds some of the best cars in the industry they're all about quality but every little every car has a little issues you know but take care of it's a gorgeous car

May I ask ..what specific color is your exterior? grey or green Any regrets or changes that you might make if reordering? Seats? I'm looking to upgrade from mx5

The color is graphite blue. The spec was perfect. Love the 18 way seats. Had heat and cool seats. Was very comfortable

What did they end up doing with the CV Boot? replacing the entire boot? or just the clip?

I took it to the dealer and they replace the whole boot. But I read online that most people just replace clip and that usually fixes it.

They are extremely reliable, hold lowest year end depreciation rate along with 911 and they are great daily and weekend drivers. I think the base manual car is more reliable that’s the one I own ;)

How many miles were on the car when you bought it?
