Drake, as you know my husband Kenneth Hinkle ( our daughter is Lindsey Hinkle ) had a stroke that affected his left side. You have been such an inspiration for him as well as myself. Thank you very much for pushing yourself forward and giving thousands of others hope!

Awesome story!! I just saw Drake perform with Whiskey Myers in Midland/Odessa. We didn't know who he was, we came for Whiskey Myers. By the time Drake finished his set, "We knew who he was"!! His show was amazing, and he told a shortened version of his story between songs. Honestly, I didn't notice any signs of paralysis. My daughter had an AVM burst when she was 9 years old. We never, for a minute, doubted that God would get us all through this. And believe me "He did!" Drake mentioned that when he woke up, he heard his wife praying..... There's the answer brother! God is good, and if you pray, you will get an answer. It may not be the answer you were looking for, but you will see God's plan play out in your life, if you will listen. Glad to see you healthy, and I pray that the little paralysis you still have will be gone soon. Keep the great music coming!!

Happy you are recovering. Love your music. The year your health went bad you were going to be at a music festival we were attending and heard the bad news. So one day hope to see you at a music festival.

Thanks Drake..what a testimony. I sent this to my son in rehab because he feels hopeless and sad. My hope is that he’ll see the coast is clear and he can do it if he perseveres!

I found out I had an Avm back in 2015 and still battling, I totally understand how you feel. I today have both mini strokes and seizures along with having brain surgery. Your right you can’t let it bring us down. My children keep me going and always will. I pray for you.

I also have a story that I am passionate about, I have stage four endometriosis and I hope someday I can do a TED talk, while I was fighting for my life I listened to your music while I was so thank you, have no idea how your music and others can heal the soul !!!

Been there. Done it, Drake 30 years ago this coming November. I miss my earlier 100%. But I appreciate my today's 100%. I poop for myself. I feed myself and a kind of ambulate / walk most places I like to go. Thank you for sharing your story with us.

Drake, I had a hemoragic stroke as well and I agree with what you said. For me it was making a conscious decision to live. I went from not wanting to live, to telling myself these people, the 100 visitors that came to see me in icu because the doctors said it wasn't looking good for me. I had felt enoughh of their pain and decided at that moment these peoole are not gonna hurt for me and my family anymore. I walked out of rehab 2 months later. Now I'm not saying I done this on my own. But with the prayers and the prayers of others the will to live, I walked again. Today it feels like I'm sitting on a brick all the time with a brick hanging from my ankle. My left arm feels like it's made of rock. But I'm doing everything I use to do before. Thank God for free will and miracles.

Thank you for your story Drake, I had a massive head injury in 2019 after a fall when a blood clot passed through my heart. That head injury changed everything for me. I appreciate your words, and your inner strength.

Be strong buddy we are gonna get over this,on April 2 nd precisely I left my home for work and believe me I'm still suffering the outcome of that day till date,after about an hour I got to work I collapsed and was taken to the hospital and I woke up paralyzed and also with a VP shunt in my system and till date have had about 6 surgeries but still strong and believing that everything will still be alright meanwhile I was told I had severe haemorrhagic stroke,dealing with the paralysis now

Thank you for sharing this story. I have seen the destruction that strokes can cause first hand and hearing a recovery story is amazing. My fiancé had an ischemic stroke that turned hemorrhagic resulting in many surgeries before ultimately taking him from me. Cherish those dances in the kitchen and the children you will have.

When my daughter was born she was given CPR for 20 minutes and 2 transfusions in the first hour. She was born in Bethesda Naval Hospital 2009. I prayed that he take it away from her and put it all on me. If I had to go, fine, let her stay because she’s here for a reason. She said up until she was around 8 she talked to God. She couldn’t tell you what the sound was or what was said. Just that she did. She’s been my 100%, I guess. I was lost before her. In 2014, I was stationed in Texas and heard “Back to Free” on the radio. I retired in 2015 after 20 years and hit the road on terminal leave we went to Delaware to listen to you sing it. I didn’t even leave my camper for Blake Shelton or the others. I went for you and that one song. Daisy is now 12 and we just watched you in Portland. She loves the song “Giants” she hasn’t had it easy. You do change the world, Sir, of many. I’ve never heard an artist that could hit the heart strings while connecting with the head and soul like you. I wish you and your family well and thank you.

Thank you Drake you're trully an inspiration I too went thru a life changing thing in June 2020 head on collision that almost killed me and took away my ability to do the job I loved anymore drs said I'd never walk again but now I walk with a cane and your song maybe the the hurts the healing is what I live by

I like your attitude. Derrick M. Tennant had a similar thing happen to him, BUT, his Dr. told him that he had a brain bleeding from point X, for an unknown reason. You were given an actual diagnosis. I wonder 🤔 why Derrick couldn't get a better diagnosis. ???!!!???

Very inspiring Drake. I have a nephew who's ability to walk was taken at 18 months by a drunk driver. You would think he would be bitter at the world, mad at God, but he isn't. He is 21 years old now, and he doesn't know this, but has been a huge inspiration in my life. The way he looks at things and people with love has to be a God thing. His name is Mason, his journey has allowed him to meet some pretty cool people, from the impractical jokers, to Lex Luger lol. Just started listening to you, awesome voice and song writing ability. You ever come to Chattanooga, I would love to introduce you to Mason. God bless brother. 👍
