It had to be. Both sides knew that there was a game there for the taking. As usual Poch against big teams usually pulls out all the bells and whistles to create chaos but as usual, our defenders are really error prone. Props to Chelsea for the win.

i feel like chelsea need to play back 3 to at least cover them defensively, where i will put carney, palmer and jackson as fowards because carney and palmer can play the half spaces very well and can create overload in midfield. then, make caicedo and enzo stick with the centerbacks during bulid up play and in transition. also it avoid cucurella and gusto to get overloaded by oppostion attack

Finally someone talking about the Chelsea box midfield in the building phase. Gallagher and Palmer the 2 10’s. Gusto becoming the right winger. Our left back the left centre back. When Chillwell plays people think he is out of form but in reality he is learning new positions. He failed as a left winger, and has been struggling to affect the game as a LCB. The change from Poch has been since moving Colwill away from LCB is he allows this position now to create overloads when the game dictates it. This has left us a lot more vulnerable at the back. The idea is for Enzo to hold and Caicedo to drop in the back 3. But you sometimes see Gusto, Chillwell and Enzo in the box or just outside it. It was thought playing Marc at left back would fill the problem, but due to his overcommitting in to tackles (likes to tackle on his front foot rather than back) when he misses, it again leaves us one short when teams counter us. It is entertaining to watch though.

Chelsea finally got their perfect Hazard's replacement.

United's mistakes saved us. It's pretty clear where both these teams will finish this season and this result is nothing but a band aid for now.
