I thought you spelled Texas wrong but you didn't. Texel is one of the Dutch Wadden Islands, off the coast of the Netherlands. Learned another thing.

seeing those messages in these bottles make me feel; loved, optimistic, excited .. and sad.

Wonderful man, in 1996 on the way back from euro Disney with my nephew who was 3 at the time we throw a message in a bottle over the side of the ferry, few months later wim replied, we have been writing ever since, he used to come over to England on cycling holidays and pitch up his tent in our garden. He has found lots of interesting items over the years.

Mit 11 Jahren habe ich am Strand von Zandvoort eine Flaschenpost ins Meer geworfen. Die Wellen brachten sie zurück und ich hatte über zehn Jahre regelmässigen Kontakt mit Wim. Diese Wohnung und auch den Balkon kenne ich von einigen Besuchen bei ihm. Ein ungewöhnlicher, sehr kreativer Mensch. Ich wünsche dir alles Gute lieber Wimifant (insider)

I found one with a $20 bill in it. It said have a nice day today and buy yourself a nice dinner on me :) I wonder if these are dangerous for boat propellers. I am planning on releasing a few I wish he shared what some said like his favorites and how he found them all. Amazingly he appeared to find two bottles while the cameras were rolling.

We wrote to Wim for years when i was in primary school, i would love to meet him again 24 years later :) i still jave his letters somewhere, does anybody know where he lives now? He sent us beutiful letters with stamps of whales and thing on, and little fossils. :) i am in zaandvort in 2 months!
