Godzilla is actually based on these American nuclear test over the sea, especially the bikini atoll test that resulted in minimum 3 million marine life deaths, with some estimates going as far as 50 million. Godzilla is born from the radiation of the two bombs detonated and the wrath of the marine life killed by it.

@@michellelove9838that irrelevant radiation on this level is not cumulative, it's not something that just builds up in your body overtime. If that was the case you'd already be dead by the insane amount of radiation you get blasted by from exposure to the sun every day. Or build up radiation from the normal levels of radiation all around you. It's the same reason why wifi and radio are harmless even with prolonged exposure.

it is estimated that whale sharks may live to over 100 years of age, reaching maturity at around 30 years. They are thought to have a fast growth rate when very young, which then slows down, taking them a long time to reach maturity and adding to the vulnerability of this iconic species.

Him and another man. Then they "lost" his paperwork and didn't pay him. So he had to find other ways to get money. Playing cards, swapping guard shifts with other sailors. He set off Geiger counters until he passed, but he never got cancer. And he was able to procreate.
