Somewhat I do not agree with the main idea of this video. Sometimes doing exactly what you hate the most and what appears you to be the most difficult is clearly what will make you progress the most in the long run (ex: legs day in fitness).

Learn Chinese : 30 min. per day , form Monday to Friday Continue learning japanese : 1 grammar video per day Continue learning spanish : Drops, Duolingo, podcasts etc.

I've been making too much progress lately! Thank you for these tips. I can now slow my progress down and stop learning so much. I had wondered how to do it, but was completely unsure. Can I add a tip on how not to learn languages: "Keep watching loads of youtube videos on how to learn languages, but don't actually have any language input."

For my Spanish: speak to my family only in Spanish, Duolingo, grammar exercises, movies/ tv, music For my German: grammar book exercises, music, and taking a class for the winter

Great useful video for me planning to do 3 languages in 2021!

I’ve been guilty of tips 3, 2, and 5. I’ve stopped comparing myself bc i don’t know what their process has been and I’m only seeing a clip of their “best moment” that they chose to share. I’ve also felt guilty if I missed a day of studying but am learning that it’s ok not to study every free second I have. And I’ve started talking to myself and am realizing how hard it is but also seeing the (painfully slow) progress I’m making!

Omg thank you so so soooo much! My Japanese and English have been improving too much recently. Thank god kind people like you exist

Your eyes are so pretty! Loved seeing your video on how to learn 8 languages :) Thanks for sharing your tips and I'm amazed to see that you've learnt so many! I hope to not make these mistakes with my language learning in 2021:) 💕

Edit: I love watching your videos, hello from the States! I'm currently learning Norwegian (for my paternal Norwegian grandmother), Swedish (for my paternal Swedish grandfather), and German. I started off with Norwegian late November last year and I tried chugging out multiple lessons on Duolingo a day after my university closed for the holiday season. Oh, boy, when I tell you that I almost QUIT a month it...let's just say that 3+ lessons a day on Duolingo is NOT the way to go. I actually have reduced it down to a Norwegian Duolingo lesson a day paired with either a Swedish or German Duolingo lesson and a podcast episode in each language. If I don't want to do Duolingo, I usually watch KZread videos in that specific language or a Disney+/Amazon Prime/Netflix movie or TV show episode.

Thanks for your helpful advises. Now I understand way better why I'm not reaching my goals. :) BTW: I like this Video, this ironic kind of showing the wrong way of learning. That's not only about learning other languages. Last but not least I have to say your blue eyes are absolutely incredible!

Hi! Thank you so much. I used Duolingo in the past (I even worked for them for a while) and I was exhausted after using it for 2 years. I since tried out a few apps - such as Pimsleur and Busuu - and they're more user-friendly and not as repetitive as Duolingo. Check them out if you want - I linked them in the description. ❤️

@@LauraMaliszewska Thanks for your quick answer. I’m Swedish and have studied English, German, French and now Spanish. I know a little Farsi and Chinese too, but not enough to speak them. I would love to learn Polish as well, as I have lately got myself a new favourite city: Krakow. I really love it there, but the language seems so hard. What do you think about Krakow? I also think the people I’ve met there were really friendly. Can you recommend some other cities in Poland. I’ve been to Gdansk and Warszawa as well. Bye!❤️

My language learning structure be like: Spanish: immersion w/ books and youtube/video games, gonna sign up for a class when Im in spain leter in the year, start doing a grammar drill a day in my textbook Catalan: *internal screeching*

That's a while that I'm learning English but i feel like I'm stuck...as I'm working on my vocabulary new words keep popping up and i'm kind of burning out and smashed by all this news information...it stresses me out a lot...if only i had a visa card I would join your private online platform.. I have an issue. I want to learn a language, but I don't know what I'm gonna learn. I feel no need to learn another language. I feel like everything I need is right here where I am Edit: I want to learn French, for instance, but I feel like there's not a demand for French speakers in the Midwest. Spanish would be more helpful, but I don't want to learn Spanish 😂

You say don't talk to myself and don't talk to people? Will that affect me? You also said to do things that don't work for me? Are you serious? My language is Spanish, I am learning English, I want to know if it is sarcasm or the tips to put them into practice are real, and if it was sarcasm I did not understand it I still do not understand sarcasm in English, it is that many recommend talking to people to improve learning and you said not to do that so it confuses me
