It’s such a great advice. There are songs that are difficult to understand because of her poetic and metaphorical style. So, find songs that is easy to understand and from those we can use phrases are great. Sometimes my friends say: “what does this song is saying?”. It’s not easy to translate song.
It's nice to listen to songs with a funny way to learn English, I appreciate it.

Foundations by Kate Nash is one of my all time favourite songs!! I’ve heard LDN by Lily Allen but haven’t taken much notice of the lyrics before, and those few you quoted sound very interesting!

I can recommend Amy MacDonald too. But of course, there are some lyrics which are not easy to follow by the first listening.

How true. I learnt Spanish by listening to Estopa and Jarabe de Palo. And Sheeran sounds as if a cat's tail is being pulled. Better do a video on Duran Duran's songs.
