The ES team in Argentina, I cant remember if it was 98 o 99, first Koston signs me the transworld with the BSNoseBlunt in hubba hideout, later i broked my board and he give me a board (with 3 different types of griptape on, in the middle a very thick one with the girl logo - thats inspired me a lot!) when the Es team goes Eric throw me that pair from the Van, that day was awesome!

Golden age. So glad thats when I grew up skating
growing up skating in Socal during this era was fun. I've run into Creager a few times at random spots (mostly schools) and we'd always be blown away at the tricks he was recording. I remember one ledge my friends and I were having trouble getting on and he shows up and nose blunts it with his photographer in 2 tries.
Ronnie was way ahead of his time man. still so underrated.

@@whatyouseewhatyouget3021 You literally make no sense. Thinner shoes offer less protection for ankles, not more. And rolling your ankles is 80% in how you skate and walk / jump / land. Being lightfooted and accepting a fall and rolling out of it, is a lot better than forcing a land, missing the board and getting your ankle messed up. In reality, what shoes you wear matters very VERY little when it comes to rolling ankles.

To be fair, Jeron got his pro model when DVS started pumping out kook shoes.
Should do a talk about the standards and levels AMS and pros are at, how hard it is to get into the industry , how you can be replaced.at a finger snap etc. Skating is at a ridiculous level right now.
One of a fav shoe. I had the grey with red and than the white with blue trim. Only things about em is the reflectors on the rear comes off easy.
I remember when I got a pair it was also white and royal blue and had some reflective trim on it I think also they came with royal blue laces that were straight gas I remember going to skate camp with a fresh pair and everyone was loving them.
eS Creagers were my first 'real' skate shoe. Glad he was getting taken care of back then
Ronnie is so chill
I had 2 pairs of Creagars (black and yellow colorway was sick), good bit more comfortable than Kostons (still have this Green/Black/White colorway pair) during that era. The Creagers had the air bubble where Kostons did not...

I loved the creagers, Ronnie was my fav skater back then but I will say the Koston 2's were awesome because they felt more precise with flicks, the koston 1 was derivitive compared to the 2.
I had quite a few Ronnie Creager Blind boards. The best shoes that were actually made to be skate shoes were some Mark Gonzales ones made by Adidias. They were indestructible so ,of course, they stopped making them quick. Now I always get regular Shelltoes because they are my favorite.
Cool to hear shoe business talk!
I still have a brand new pair of Jeron Wilson 2 dvs in white black and green.
Good looking on getting Ronnie on here. Great guy. Great skateboarder.
My first video I’ve ever bought was the blind what if back in middle school. So nostalgic to think about.
The olive green Creager shoe is still my favourite skate shoe I ever skated. The brown accel is a close 2nd.
I remember my older brother saved his money and he had my dad call up CCS and order him a complete , it was the Blind : Ronnie Creager Mix Master deck with Titan Ti-Lite trucks , Spitfire classic wheels (Small) , and Independent griptape with the little iron cross logo cut out . The deck graphic had a little DJ wearing headphones scratching records on it . This was way back , circa 98 .

One of my favorites. Rob D. DC Ten shoe
Great beer Jeron!
This was my favorite shoe, except that it didn't grip well so at a park if you missed your board you were slipping out for sure. When I skated for DVS (flow) I would only skate the stealth.

Man the sad part about skateboarding is that the community doesn’t pull in a bunch of revenue for the talented. Rob Dyrdek has done more for making skaters money than just about anyone. It’s an art though and artists love it because of the experience. But we all gotta live. I love skateboarding and I’ll be damned if I don’t so something to move this forward.

There should be a skateboard workers union. So that it's not only 10 guys in a whole industry that get paid well. Collective bargaining would help so that this money could be more fairly distributed. People say there is no money in skating then why did Nike, addidas, and billabong buy ever brand? 🤔

Unions ruin most industries. Some people work harder than others. it would not be fair to those guys that do work hard. I do think these sponsors should pay out more however the profit margins are so thin in skateboarding. Shoes are what really holds the glue together for this industry.
