THINGS I MISSED(?): -Apparently it's a 50% for a Gordo to stick to the wall when thrown against one by Dedede, I did test this but I might've gotten extremely lucky because I got it pretty consistently. -Villager can drop an edible fruit with down special with a VERY low chance. I of course tested dropping the tree a lot because of the little log that can drop, and Villager is one of my most played characters, but I've still never seen it happen. However the amount of people telling me it's real leaves me to believe it IS real. -PAC-MAN's Boss Galaxian projectile has 3 random angles it can go after the loop, gotta be honest I simply glanced over this one lol. THINGS I DIDN'T MISS: -Mr. Game & Watch's judge does NOT have a 20% chance of tripping the opponent. It was true in Brawl and Smash 4, but not in Ultimate. I say this in the video at 7:24 because I found out right before I finished the video and I forgot to take it out, sorry about that.

FSToxin74 Gaming Actually it’s best as right, down, then diagonal down & right. Or else you may Hadoken. When doing command inputs, you want to-in your head-emphasize the final direction in your input. Down and *forward* punch, forward down *diagonal f&d* punch, etc

When characters hold an item, if they get hit, they have a random chance of dropping said item. This actually would have a huge impact on peach, daisy, diddy kong, mega man, and ROB players since their combos and setups usually depend on their items.

The way gordos interact with moves is functionally random because the hitbox is just an X instead of a full circle.

The thing about Hero is that his randomness is what makes him a character. With pretty much all of the other examples if you removed them you'd still have a character (in Luigi and G&W's cases they might be less memorable though). Hero without crits or command selection would just be another swordie.

For Duck Hunt Duo, the gunman he pulls is random but after pulling one he will then not be pulled again until all 5 have been pulled, when they are all available again, so if you really wanted to you could know every 5th, 10th, 15th, etc. Also yes Villager can spawn fruit (being randomly chosen from apple, pear, cherries, peach and orange) which heal differing %s depending on fruit and yes it still works with items off.

Yes, it works like Tetris, where it will randomly pick one of the 6 tetrominoes that haven't been used yet, then after all 6 has been used, it will reset and do it all over again, meaning you can always know the last one in the cycle if you know where in the cycle you are, and which has been used up. This also means that the longest break between two of the same gunman is 8 other gunmen in-between (and 10 tetrominoes in Tetris).

Corrin Flakes the order is always red, yellow, blue, white and then purple, then it starts over again with red. In Brawl it was random, with certain terrain improving chances of a specific colour (ex. plucking in shallow water would always give blue Pikmin).

pretty much all things RNG is fixed in HRC. hero never crits and always gets the same four spells, the results from judge is fixed (forgot what number though), peach/daisy always pull the same type of turnip (the beady eyed one), villager always gets 3 turnips on Uair and Dair etc.

Trivia: Pacman’s taunt is random. He cycle’s through multiple characters from Namco’s franchise. One of these is a ginormous starship thing. Otherwise, it’s not a big deal.

I remmember being Ko'd by a friend and the moment i respawned i just used Whack... 0% ko is sweet

Duck Hunt's Gunmen are random but go in an order from 1 to 5. Once you use the move 4 times the 5th is guaranteed.

@@epekka This is an old ass comment, but they wanted to ban him, because of language. If 2 people from different countries play and they don't speak eachother's language, then Hero's Down B couldn't be understanded by the opponent. Also they wanted him banned because of RNG too lol.

Villager can also Randomly spawn a Cherry when he uses his down B

Talking about Jigglypuff's rest being disadvantageous when they get a standard KO, but it's equally dangerous for a Star KO when you use Rest off stage, especially if it's a last stock situation.

I think that rng is ok in smash in particular, the game was clearly never meant to be competitive specially on earlier games, so yeah ppl play it competitively but the game itself isn't competitive by nature (adding GSP doesn't make a game competitive) But considering it's an excellent game for playing with friends and such randomness sounds ok

I don't think GnW's Judge is that bad because even though you can get a 9 and get a KO, you're just as likely to get a 1 and damage yourself a good amount (especially with how light he is). But you still have to connect the move for it to do anything and the hitbox is the same at all times. Hero gets completely different moves with different effects and hitboxes and often times are random in themselves

Down B hitboxes are not random. The fuck? The only moves in down b that are random are thwack, whack and hocus pocus.

No man I understand. Towards the end of the Smash 4 days I got really burnt out of flat stage no items. I mean I still prefer the competitive way to play but every once in a while it’s nice to turn items back on and just have stupid fun.

Bowsers hair is only down when facing left in the spirit train stage (even in omega and battlefield)

I like how the silhouette of mr. Game and Watch is just Mr. Game and Watch

MASSIVE kudos to you for showing that Mr. Saturn is best used for breaking shield in your segment with Peach and Daisy. I've met so many people who forget or don't know this! They keep saying "Mr. Saturn's crap" to which I usually reply "Don't shield... also, get good and play competitively!" JK. In all honesty, I enjoy finding competition both in the high end scene and the casual scene. I love excelling at Mario Party 4!

There’s a random chance of playing hero who has a random chance of having the choice of using Hocus Pocus which has a random chance of any ability.

Pac's Galboss has some RNG with which angle it flies after its loop: 0°, 30°, & 45°.

Being a random main (and by random I mean like actually random as in the character select screen) and being known for being lucky, I do enjoy getting Hero or Mr. Game and Watch when I can. Hero’s an amazing character in general, and it’s fun to be able to have that random chance in a fighting game. Amazing fighter, wouldn’t swap him out for anyone else.

Honestly.. I love hero! He’s so fun to play, And his RNG makes him such a great character to play, You gotta make best with what you have.

(3:50) Getting a rest-KO should almost override it so it never is a direct KO on the top of the screen.

I just rewatched this for background noise while I played Animal Crossing and RIGHT after you said "I hope your day will be filled with good luck" I finally caught my first hammerhead shark.

I think R.O.B.'s Gyro movement on the ground also has some RNG to it, no..? Oh, and King Dedede's Gordos sticking to a wall also happens randomly, which can actually be a game-changer.

He does, the galaxian will travel either straight, or at a 30 or 45 degree angle after the first loop

Technically, Duck Hunt Duo's Wild Gunman is kind of only semi-random since the same gunman won't appear again until all of them have taken a turn, so if you use the move 4 times and remember which gunman appeared each time, then you can predict who's next.

I told my brother about 10:57 and he said "Well Mr. Game and watch has 1 in 9 chance of getting a nine and hero could do thwack anytime..."
