Headbops aren't just baits. They're combo extenders and multipliers. They cancel your landing lag, and give you frame 1 invincibility. Head bops are broken

#9 works really well b/c its basically conditioning your opponent to think you're bad when in reality they are just falling into your trap card. Have used in tourney and 10/10 would recommend

One thing I like to do at ledge as Lucas is to throw out a bunch of down tilts and then block the getup attack with up smash invincibility. It also works with down smash sometimes. It works way too often and is incredibly rewarding.

As a yoshi player I use passing over the shield quite a bit, it can also be useful to do it with down air in a situation that can lead to a shield poke because down air can set up tech situations and if it doesn't poke landing on the other side buys you a little extra time which can be very helpful against slower characters. I also like fastfalling nair so that I land far enough away from a grab, the nair won't hit but can bait an out of shield option.

This video was a great refresher for things I used to do a lot but kinda stopped thinking about lol. The baiting an early up B offstage for example I used liberally to beat a player on my city’s PR a few months ago, but then I kinda forgot about it and got lost in the details of trying to focus on implementing other tech with more diminishing returns on my time investment. Gotta start going back to my roots. Never forget KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid.)

Idk if this is a good option or not but since I play rob pit and villager I see if my opponent has a weak aerial game so if they try to punish my get up option I go around the stage to the other ledge and see if they try to do the exact same thing or if it’s a mixup I keep a note of it then make the right get up move then continue playing

This works out VERY well, I have a friend that mains ness and toon link, he always does roll to back throw and it pisses me off

Personally when playing against a strong projectile like fully charged ones likes samus and hero I like to sit further away then run in and reflect it. Most people in this scenario will either shield which could break it or not realize it was reflected and run in, expecting you to be in disadvantage
