The thing is Bruce has to deal with untraceable liquid money to finance Batman. Billionaires don't actually have a billion dollars sitting around. All of their assets are usually tied up in ways of keeping them billionaires. In many ways the Bat Credit Card makes far more sense than the joke realized.

To be fare back when he was created in the 1920s all Batman had was a cloth costume some old rock climbing gear and and some basic forensics gear not everything aged with the character kind of like how Superman originally couldn’t fly he could leap tall building but when the OG cartoon came out it was cheaper to animate him flying rather then jumping

Bruce has basically unlimited funds unless the plot demands he loses the funds 🤷🏼‍♂️

That would mean he spends 36 mil a year which will take about 25 - 30 years to finish IF he doesn't invest but most billionaires usually do gain 8-10 % per annum on investments which means he will be making 80- 100 mil a year in passive income but spend only 36 mil out of it

Problem with this is without actually knowing his total assets from the writers, you’re just guessing his wealth based on supposed spending. He could be holding on to a lot more cash.

Just mentioning the fact that he owns a space station that doubles as a fortress/aircraft carrier/weapons platform, it's safe to say that he would be in the upper billion to a couple trillion. For other pieces, he has satellite arrays, which doesn't need nearly enough money and is a bit more feasible.

I like to think that the guy has a bunch of money in different places that give him a passive income. Stocks, funds, investments, etc. It would make sense for him to do it and keep his billionaire status, plus it essentially gives him unlimited money.

Justice League the animated series has Bruce tell Superman he hid the cost of building the Watchtower in a line item of unspecified expenditures. That is total nonsense but if we accept it, and estimate from there, we know that the cost of the ISS was $150 billion, the watchtower is easily 3 or 4 times the size of the ISS and has technology that doesn't exist but which is plausible and could be cost estimated... the Watchtower was a trillion dollar investment, in order to hide that much money, his companies expenditures have to be around 1,000 times greater, to be successful realistic revenues would be about 1.5 times expenditures, and the market value of the company is about 10 times revenues for a multinational conglomerate. That means that version of Wayne Enterprises is approximately a $15 quadrillion dollar company. Which is 3.5 orders of magnitude too great to realistically exist in a world that technologically and financially on par with the real world. I have trouble imagining any company worth more than $8 trillion in the real world especially since no company has exceeded a value of $2.5 trillion for more than few non consecutive hours a year. That said I would peg Bruce's net worth at 10% of his companies valuation, if he is a purely paper billionaire like Elon Musk, or not more then 5% of his companies valuation if he is what's called an upper-class billionaire (or liquid billionaire), with the $15 quadrillion dollar valuation, Bruce is worth anywhere from $150 trillion to $1.5 quadrillion with $750 trillion being the most reasonable estimate; while are an $8 trillion valuation he is worth anywhere from $80 billion to $800 billion with $400 billion being the most reasonable estimate.

Up until that point the only sizable business in Metropolis not owned by Luthor was the Daily Planet.... which was a Wayne Enterprises subsidiary.

Besides the technological development, the cost in materials could probably be reduced (drastically). Space fairing capabilities would reduce their price by extracting them from off Earth locations. Orbital refineries, and other industries would lead to that. They have shown that space is already active, such as Lunar bases and various other space stations. The work has already been done, just needs to be used accordingly.

It’s interesting to learn the amount of wealth (or at least an estimate) that Batman has in different continuities. In particular, I was surprised to find out that Injustice Batman is a trillionaire.

I remember that one time when going over the Leagues finances, they were going over budget from the UN financing and we’re getting cut off. So Bruce just casually says he’ll take care of it. Just wanted to move on with the meeting. So cool.

Is it just me or doesn’t anyone else use these videos to fall asleep, the soft voice is good for sleepy but I also just really enjoy the way everything is explained and presented

I’d say 30-60 billion while Wayne enterprises is around 200-300 billion a year since that would be about 20% of the company to 40% and it would be enough to fund both Bruce Wayne and Batman since you can’t go around buying hotels and restaurants every day making 9 billion a year.

kind of off topic, but other than the physical assets Bruce owns directly, there are other factors out there that will push Bruce Wayne net worth higher. an example of that is the rich people connection Bruce has. Green Lantern (Oliver Queen) is a billionaire himself, assuming if Bruce Wayne did go broke, I am pretty sure that Oliver Queen wouldn't mind sharing his fortune with Bruce Wayne so he can continue his life style as Batman. since both of them share similar passion in crime fighting, I do believe Oliver Queen will be more than willing to help Bruce Wayne shall Bruce go broke some day, the hardest part is probably to have Bruce's ego to accept the offering.

The flying bat would be way more than 60 million. Being that every batman vehicle is essentially a ground up prototype, you have to factor RND, but also material and assembly costs. The closest relatives to the flying bat would be the canceled Comanche helicopter and the B2 Spirit bomber. The B2 has an average price tag of 2 billion dollars per plane, while the Comanche was estimated at 7 billion dollars to research and develop 2 prototypes in the late 90s and early 2000s. Considering some financial streamlining, and what not, batman doesn't have to pay some of the more annoying fees, but that research isn't free and he's never got more than half a dozen of any vehicle. His flying bat being completely stealthy and equipped with more equipment than any American helicopter has ever had in one payload, it's fair to say his flying bat would cost no less than 1 billion, and likely cost closer to 3 billion. Even if he owned the company that built the Nolan universe equivalent, and got the research for free, the production of one of these would still be in the near 1 billion mark seeing as the US has 19 B2 spirits at 2 billion a pop. I'd say production of the flying bat is still much higher than 60 million. 60 million wouldn't even buy you a Boeing 737, and it's hard to argue a 737 being more complex and intensive than the flying bat.
