Thanks for this. I have a question. Putting aside pricing, which Latin American country you visited would you say has the best grocery stores in terms of quality and variety. We were super impressed with Panama.

Out of Honduras, Belize, Dom Rep, Guate, Peru, Colombia, Panama, Mexico, after having accumulated months to years in most of them, I prefer #1 Panama, then #2 Peru or Colombia using your criteria. In Panama as (well as other countries of course) there are a few specialist places that significantly expand the selection and that combined with the offering in general supers is great. Sadly before the pandemic there was a much better selection in Panama but it still is best for me.
