Im 55 years old and fit. An acquaintance of ours, same age, asked me today to be his trainer. He eats SAD diet. I told him before anything, we have to fix his diet. Working out without changing his diet will actually make him fatter, not leaner. That's because he will be hungrier and will eat more of the same crap that made him unfit. Its THAT bad. If you're fat, the worst thing you can do is go to the gym and start banging the weights around. It will accomplish nothing without changing diet.

  • @BonerGrowingPains

Nonsense. If you're fat, weight lifting is an excellent start to getting fit. Sure he needs to change his diet. That goes without saying. However, dissuading him from weight lifting did him a disservice. Your logic is silly too; assuming he will be hungrier from lifting, especially at that age. Complete overthinking. You gave your friend bad advice. Should have told him to start lifting and dieting.

There is nothing better for your health than figuring out what diet works best for you. The benefits to your health are amazing. Too bad so many refuse to take control of their own health. If you are expecting to get help or hear the truth from the ones who benefit from your addictions and illnesses then you are going to suffer needlessly. Big food, big pharma, big med, and big gov are not in it for your health and well-being. Money and power is all they care about.

If you are on the Carnivore Diet and want to go back to eating vegetables, it may take some time, at least if you want to eat large quantities of vegetables. I generally prefer to just eat meat, but sometimes there are social events where little or no meat is available and if I am not careful I get diarrhea from food that in the past I probably would have tolerated. We are very adaptable creatures, but adaptation often takes time.

Salad has always been disgusting to me. They'd drag me to the salad bar in the restaurants as a kid, and the only thing I truly liked and usually filled my bowl with were croutons and blue cheese. As I got older, I would smother any salad in blue cheese in order to force it down. There is no forcing down steak or steak fat. lmao. I can happily gnaw on a t-bone just like a dog, then give it to my dog when I'm done. It all just feels more natural, anyways.

Things like not being fasted, some sort of underlying inflammatory condition or infection, heavy alcohol use just before the test and others things like overexertion can mess with results. Go totally clean carnivore and retest. Check other markers if you're concerned like Hs-crp, fasting insulin and glucose and see if that comes back normal. Maybe a CBC just to be sure your wbc is normal. Dr. Berry has a Common sense lab book that may come in handy for you.

They also showed that dietary ratios differed by sex (along with other variables like geography and social culture), with females consuming more plants than males. You’re filled with GMOs, I see. Too brainwashed to think for yourself. PS if you eat healthy, REAL food it will actually cost LESS than the junk you’re forcing into your body now. Because your body will actually be satiated and you won’t get the signal of “Hey! You need to eat!” when your body is deficient in a vitamin, mineral, fat, whatever it is but instead you consume a bag of chips because you can’t stop eating them with all the MSG and everything else they bathe them in to trick your brain into telling you that you want more so you overeat. Oh, also, you’re gonna “pay” one way or another…either in doctors appointments, medications, supplements, horrible quality of life and just generally feeling like 💩 OR you can invest in eating REAL food, once or twice a day (all your body really needs) and you’ll actually save…money and in many other ways.
