I personally felt yennefer came off as more like a teenager with her script, rather than a woman with power, composure and dignity that I know from books /games. But maybe in the second season she'll come around.

I'm not sure exactly where in the timeline this falls, since I've only played W3 and haven't read the books or played the first two, but I assume this is decently early on in his story. She should have plenty of time to "grow up".

@@Fenseone in the first book Geralt mentions the same thing, the Witcher potion increases his reaction speed and reflexes to crazy speeds and he intentionally hides this to keep the element of surprise. The 3rd game doesn't show this. So if you read the books you get the reference.

Honestly, when you look at other major franchises (film, TV, gaming, etc.), most of the actors when interviewed say that they were fans before they got into their roles, and that's probably true. But with Henry, you can see in every interview just how much of a fan he is to the point where he's basically citing the source material. It's very refreshing to see an actor as passionate about a project as he is.

Although I had some nitpicks about the witcher netflix series, none of them related to Henry Cavill. He did an absolutely perfect Geralt, and I went into it ready to criticize him because game Geralt / Doug Cockle was the only Geralt for me beforehand. But Henry smashed the role with absolute perfection. I can't say a single negative thing about his performance as Geralt. The voice, the attitude, the looks, the sword fighting, it was all perfect.

I only really had 1 big issue with the show, myself: the time skips were a bit jarring (I often didn't know which time the show was in at any given time, and had to kind of figure it out after the fact). It felt like the show assumed I knew all the backstory/lore, and thus would know where things would land of a timeline, but without much of that (I only got some of the way through W3, didn't play 1 or 2, and haven't read the books) I felt a bit lost at times. It really could've used some kind of "meanwhile, in the past..." type text when it skipped back and forth.

Like, who cares that a city like Cintra that sits in the mouth of the greatest river in the continent has a lot of different people. It's easy to explain just from commerce ventures. But Triss is such an iconic character. With her they should had keep the redhead killer beauty.

He really did nail Geralts voice as well as his mannerism. Great job! I was worried it would be trash.

Definitely true. I am just sad that the episodes have so much time between them. You watch 1 Episode and in the next one it's already 20 Years later as an example. Of course Netflix can't know how well this is going so they didn't make 20 Episodes, but I would've liked it to go more into Detail. Still very well produced.

Henry Cavill is one of my favs. I feel like he's one of the most underappreciated actors living today. His Geralt is top notch too.

It's lovely to see someone so genuine and passionate about what they're doing.

Idk what I'm more excited for at this point, watching more videos of Cavill explaining things from The Witcher or the actual show. :D

Ross Shepherd honestly I must say I for one was pretty skeptical pre watching the series since i played the games i had this picture of what a ‘real life’ geralt would be like but i think henry killed it all the way can’t think of anyone more suitable than him at this point (post-watching the series) he’s badass

When Cavill nails a role, he becomes synonymous with that character forever. Superman, Geralt... These two will forever be thought of as Henry Cavill.

This is the exact thing that should come to someone's mind when they say "Henry Cavill",not Superman,not anymore.

I love how knowledgeable he is about his role. When Henry tells you he's a fan of something you know he's telling the truth, unlike a lot of other actors who only say certain things to please audiences.

I love how enthusiastic Henry is about his character

He's that kind of guy who you won't expect to be a huge nerd. He's one piece of meat, but goddamn aint he knows his stuffs well.

Yeah...he says he has read ALL the source material multiple times and plays the games. I just finished the show yesterday and its FANTASTIC. Note that I went in knowing zero about anything related to The Witcher.

I haven"t read the books or played the games but I love that he explains how meteorite and silver swords work against monsters. It's a sad thing that it isn't explained in the show, but fortunately, Mr Cavill is a bigger nerd than me

It's actually not really explained in the books and Geralt himself debunks that his steel sword is meteorite iron though :')

I watched it and it was a bit confusing at times but I knew nothing about The Witcher going in

Throughout the years, Cavill has evolved into one of my favourite actors

I like that he takes the questions seriosly.. that is very nice.. shows respect to the ones who love The Witcher "world".

It’s always really nice when an actor actually understands their character. It’s becoming more common these days but it used to be a rare thing for someone to take the time to explore and understand the source material before trying to adapt it to screen

Henry really is perfect for the role, not only does he have Geralt’s mannerisms perfected, but you can tell really cares and is a fan of the character and story, one of the best casting choices ever

He plugged himself for it a lot so it’s not just a great casting choice but great on the part of the actor for seeking out a role he knew he could play. Just glad they let him in on the project.

Title should've just been "Henry Cavill Nerding out for 3 minutes"

Interviewer: What do you know about the witcher? Henry: *I'm a witcher too*

That actually helped clear up confusing details of the shows thanks!

This dude looks like he is sculptured by Michelangelo himself, he is perfect to play Superman, Witcher and James Bond (really hope he will be next James Bond), he is really smart, well spoken and passionate about his projects, all in all really cool dude :)

Rather than giving a male's role to a female for the sake of feminism, they should've just been original and came up with their own superspy movie that stands on it's own with a well written female lead. As it stands, it defeats the whole idea that women can be independent. Because once again they had to take what a male started and made famous.

I love how Henry is able to describe Geralt in such detail. You can really tell how passionate he is about this character. I really admire that.

Henry Cavill is so comfortable in all these Witcher interviews. He answers every question eloquently, he knows about all the characters not just Geralt, the world of the witcher and the fantasy genre. He’s invested and passionate in this role. He fits right in. This is his world. This is home to him. He’s perfect for this job and this job is perfect for him. And I couldnt be happier.

When netflix was looking for people to play geralt, Henry really pushed it to get the role since he's a huge witcher fan. Played all 3 games and read the book.

He's 100%ed the entirety of Witcher 3. Maybe even the other games and the DLC too but I'm not entirely sure on that front

Damn, I’ve never seen someone who’s perfect for a role more than Henry to the witcher. his grunts and the tone of his voice is way too perfect to be in a Netflix adaptation. It’s mind boggling really.

In case of sarcasm, he says white knight in the context of a noble hero, not a betamale who defends women at every chance he gets even if the women are wrong, out of desperate hope to get laid. Geralt is the hero, not the nice guy.

He has absolutely crushed the role as Geralt! I can't imagine anyone else playing him but Cavill! I just finished the first season, and I absolutely loved it!

Great show. Never played the game or read the books and jumped right in and loved it.

Just finished watching Season 1. The sword fights with men, are just unreal, compared to other shows. Beautifully made and definitely exceeds expectations.

@@Bootysnorkler707 the composition of the season makes no sense. It seemed like they were trying to push Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciris backgrounds into each episode which were mostly on different timelines with no indication of past/present

I love how he dives into the knowledge of swords. He knows, he really knows
