Okay, lets do it 🤝
Such a dream life! I was myself a digital nomad from mid 2021 to end of 2022. Unfortunatly money did not follow in this first attempt. I now plan my second attempt and will be again digital nomad by end of the year. I am so excited, this is such a fulfilling life !

Awesome! Cheering for you that it‘ll work out this time!
I love to watch your Videos! Its such a great quality, informative and cozy at the same time thank you!
I traveled for 5 months and worked while traveling. So a mix of vacation and working as a business owner/freelance. So not 100% comparable. I just looked at my costs in Japan and South Korea. Both countries were around 50€/day (Total cost, excluding flights and traveling as a couple). Definitely more expensive due to more activities than a digital nomad. So you should be fine with ~1500€/month. Time to level up 😆

I was in Japan 3 times already actually and stayed a month in Tokyo too. 1500€/month seems very low to me, but good to know!

@@tillmusshoff the exchange rate is unbelievable right now :) I liked Osaka / Kansai region more for working remotely.

Great stuff. I would like to eventually do something life this and escape corporate working. What do you do for a living ?

What are the different jobs/works we can explore to become a digital nomad in 2024?. Pls

Everything that‘s online. Depends on your skills and interests. Coding and content creation (and other forms of digital marketing) would be my choices. But there also lots of coaches who give classes online and much more.

@@tillmusshoff pls make a video about this
Thanks for the informative video. You mentioned you don't use an ergonomic chair or second monitor. What is your work setup to be productive on the go? Perhaps you can make a video about that one as well someday. It's something i've been struggling with while nomading.

I struggle with it too at times and it changed quite a lot. I once worked from my bed for a whole month eventhough I had a desk. Another time in Cusco I didn‘t even have a deks, I was working while standing the whole time and went to 1-2 cafés every day. It‘s good if you get used to work from all kinds of settings and don‘t need the perfect one to get started. Not easy though, still struggle with it sometimes.

@@tillmusshoff and you do everything on one 13 inch laptop screen?

Yes I don‘t mind that at all. I think it‘s 14 inch though? Not sure, but either way I had a 13 inch MacBook Pro before and used it in the same way.

The $350 insurance is per year, right?
@tillmusshoff

No, per month. It's my complete health insurance, not just an additional one for outside of Germany.
@LorenzoPrimiterra

Oh wow that sounds expensive. Shouldn’t you be covered (at least in the EU) just with the Public Health Service?
@tillmusshoff
2 ай бұрын
That would cost the same with my current income and age. The public one is dependent on income, private one is not.
Why not get a camper van? It could be cheaper and no one can bother you in the nature :p

I don‘t drive and it‘s less flexible outside of Europe. Still find vanlife super interesting though haha

Would give me anxiety to crash my van and not have a place to stay. Also a little harder to move continents with a van. As weird as it sounds: many homes are more mobile than a van.

Because a real nomad today is in Spain and tomorrow wants to go to Thailand, good luck with a van :D

We‘re both quite independent, so a month alone is pretty easy. We also call regularly. Will be with her in Germany in a couple of weeks for three whole months and afterwards we go to Mexico :)
