You guys are great! That's for all the moving to Ireland info. As someone really interested in moving to Ireland, I would love if your videos were just a bit more exciting. Eg. Take the viewers grocery shopping, show us what Ireland has that you don't find other places. Or the local restaurants, etc. Looking forward to exciting videos.

Yes, Rum! Lidl does vary a lot in quality according to the area. The one near my office is great, but the one near home is really crappy. Cheers from Berlin.

First thing everyone would tell you about Dublin is high rents. But besides that, what we liked was being so central. The city still has some green spaces that you can chill. We've started going by train to head to any of the beach along the coast with this goregous weather now. Weekends, we would do takeout from our favourite places. A few food delivery apps and being in walking distance of our favourite places made that easy. Decent selection of food, and of course the pubs. Before the lockdowns, we had just started to really settle into Dublin life, visiting sites in the city, popping into a new restaurants, and just chilling in our favourite parts of the city. We felt safe enough in Dublin, never had any run-ins with groups of teens, but that sort of 'trouble' is easier to avoid depending on where you live or paths you take if you're walking. There's a lot to discover, it's a growing and evolving place. We enjoy it, but understandably the vibe is being comfortable enough financial and with enough time to actual enjoy it.

Just Genuinely Curious. How come you said better than Americans? Do we have a bad reputation there? Are there Idiots going there and messing things up or something? I went to Ireland in the beginning of this year and I fell inlove! Absolutely gorgeous!

I'm living in my third country now (third for my fiancee as well) When I moved to be with him in the Netherlands we wanted our own place and not to be roommates with his brother and it took about two weeks to find a place. Travelling there was about 300 euro. Deposit for the apartment was 1600 euro. Paperwork was free and already had an appointment to register within a week of arriving. Here in Germany we had a paid relocation package and got 2500 euro for moving. Moved because of a job offer that he received by a company that contacted him. Deposit is 1250 euro. (Same as one month rent) and we moved in to the apartment directly upon arrival. Travel costs were 200 euro and we did take the train and put our furniture in to storage with his family (he is Dutch) Had an appointment for registration within two weeks of arrival and it was free. We always have two rules when moving. Always have an address to register at upon arrival so you can make an appointment before leaving your country and never move without a source of income that is enough for monthly expenses. It reduces so much stress to have that figured out and we feel that it is more than enough to get the daily life in order.

If you didn’t need a visa to enter the country that would mean you most likely only had three months to stay in the country ? If so what exactly did you do or what’s the steeps to take to stay longer ??

That's right I did have only 3 months initially to stay in the country as in a visitor. Since the Wine is from Austria we applied for a Stamp 4EUFAM residence card. While the application was being processed I was allowed to stay in Ireland until it was approved. - The Rum

No you don't need a visa because Ireland and Italy are part of the (EEA) European Economic Area

Joe is correct. If you've got an Italian passport you just arrive and be allowed to work. Basically you can bring your identification documents to prove that you are an EU citizen.

Hi. We're not experts in this area, so best to follow up with someone in that professional space. But from our own understanding, most immigration stamps to stay not as a tourist in Ireland don't give permission to open or operate a business. But since it's your own existing online business it shouldn't be tied to Ireland. It could be seen as foreign income you make from your home country. As long as you qualify for one of the other stamps, it may not be a problem to operate your business (though money made from it may need to be declared as foreign income for tax reasons). Ireland over rated for a cold climate & long winters, renting is too expensive, for heat costs + rent. most rental places lack propper sound proofing.
