Is an electric anchor winch on the cards..... just to boost that tally up a bit more 😉 Boats stand for Bring Out Another Thousand but the same can be said for cars when it comes to making you happpy money is irrelevant when your heart is in control rational thinking takes a back seat......but the self reward one gets when you do it youself is priceless. I got an 18-5 ft hardtop for free.It would have cost the former owner $500.00 to scrap it. I too used epoxy resin which is also expensive here in Canada.I did not cut the fiberglass from the outside of the transom but worked from the inside. I am now fishing with the boat and will need to paint the outsides once warmer weather comes in the spring.Trailer needed new axel and springs, winch and lights, tires. One Honda 50 for $2000.00 (1999) and one Honda 9-9 (year 2004) for $ 1000.00. Figure the free boat has cost me $10,000.00 so far. CHEERS from Canada

Hey mate i agree, if you add up my transom, stringers and paint only comes to a few grand, what really brought the price up was my stereo and sounder, and of course buying an outboard. If you have a boat that has all the accessories and your outboard is is good condition, i think you can fully restore a boat for under 10k no worries at all. It also depends on the Marine plywood you buy, you can buy cheap marine ply for $50 a sheet, or very high grade marine ply for $3/400 a sheet. Or take a step further and go composite. Depends on what your budget and outcome is. thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed

I painted her with house paint and a brush. Its the biggest piece of crap on the water. She floats and hauls balls on the water and Its all set up for diving.
