Pretty sure I’ve got a set of OE rear lights lying around that’ll fit this if you want them - they’re probably from a lower spec model though so might not be 100% correct looks wise!

Always wanted one of these. Nothing compares to how they flow down a B road and the character of the engines in their N/A format with just an exhaust and few other bits.... And I mainly like my Honda's but can still respect these little machines

Loving this series! Definitely need to put the wheels back to silver for sure. One thing I noticed.... the passenger door lock has been smoothed and the driver door has been left. Bit strange that's all!

Just strip it to a bare shell, repair/repaint to OEM+. They are such a simple car, you'll get a solid pile of decent content, and will learn a lot yourself especially with the motor as its obvs in need of love.. (subtle bit of boosting would be the icing..) 😉 The trouble with these old hatches is, their so simple people just bodge em as it's so easy to do so, and so the cycle continues till its as you have it.. Going by the overall condition I'd say its now at the point where its do or die with regards to effort/cost as it looks very solid overall but it needs doing once and for all. Such a cool car, don't just gloss it up, restore it proper, it'll be worth good money to the right person if you do sell on so use its simplicity to your advantage 😉

You can see the ripples in the door and quarter panel on camera 👍🏻. I will say though it’s not called blown in. it’s been blended a blowin is a spot repair. I doubt the door will match the quarter because you can see on camera how bad the blend is. But I suppose you won’t know until it’s been polished. Love your content though buddy 👍🏻

i dont know how it works but i always find that the paint and clearcoat on red cars doesnt last as long as other colours.

If the bumper is plastic it would be a different colour as plastic and metals look slightly different when painted and due to age if you look at cars most the bumper can be slightly different doesn’t mean it’s had a new one because most red plastics don’t fade as much as the actual body paint work also go silver for wheels I hate black wheels on cars just mates it look like black steel wheels I also hate the trend people have for taking wheel trims off and just having black steels makes cars look so cheap and horrible I have Peugeot 207 2010 sport automatic and it only has 38 thousand on the clock

@@JamieFYD it would have been nice to see it completed but honestly i can see why you decided to scrap the idea. rust and welding are expensive when you cant do it yourself and at some stage you just have to call it quits. it might be the reason why i have a mini shell thats been sitting in the garage for 20 plus years...... Anyway really enjoying seeing this new car, my older brother had the 106 quicksilver when he was younger so it brings back memories. keep it up dude 👍
