Hello Emma, I made this cake and it was sooooo good. So chocolatey and rich. Everyone loved it. I didn't make the ganache but did use the syrup which made the cake even more yummy. Thank you for such great recipes.

I just made this and, I must say, as a huge Sachertorte fan, this is by far the best one I've ever tried, hands down. The cake is moist and rich, the glaze is both pretty and delicious and, honestly, the overall result is just perfect.

When I was a kid we had a cook book called Die Gute Küche which was the ultimate Austrian cook book. And that one had an authentic Sachertorte recipe in it, which has the glaze made by cooking chocolate, sugar and water over a double boiler. It's so hard to make because the chocolate wants to seize up in the water and the sugar wants to crystalize. But when you do it right, the glaze becomes amazing. It's like chewy but creamy chocolate candy coating that goes crackly at the top.

vow, it's look so rich and yummy even it multiply to thousand when you plated with ice-cream / cream. Thanks for sharing.

Austrian here! I love this cake and this is basically how we make it at home as well (though without the glucose, which is not really used in cooking here xD) Since I absolutely loved everyone of your recipes I've tried so far, I think I'll try your Sacher Torte version when I next bake one ^^
