    Mookie is an amazing 5 tool player. Should get way more credit than he currently receives. Top 3 in the game.

    The versatility he adds to how the Dodgers can construct their lineup by being able to play solid middle infield is underrated imo

    The dodgers have been quietly winning. They are as potent as the braves. Let's go braves though!!

    Hear me out… With the way that Amed Rosario has been swinging the bat n getting singles/doubles in along with his top speed, we could easily slot him into the leadoff spot over Mookie n move Mook to that 3 spot for more RBI chances. That could be very deadly tbh.

    Driving the ball instead of breaking to 1st base is what makes a right-handed swing look epic. Lefties can sorta do both, as their swing rotates towards 1st, but from either side of the plate, the upright swing with the bat flip is the most epic swing, ground balls and chugging to 1st base be damned.

    @@xman9190 6 seasons actually. Yes, he was a very average player whos never made an all star team. Im not defending his talent. He played for 16 years tho, meaning he has a lengthy experience and knowledge about the game that only pro ball players have. He received the same training and practice as everyone else. He knows what hes talkin about. I dont even particularly like the guy, I just thought it was dumb to discount what he says just because he was a mid ball player. Its like saying Phil Jackson doesnt know what it takes to be great just because he was a bench player for the Knicks.

  • @xman9190

    @xman9190

    @ek9385 It's actually dumb to think that everyone who played the game knows and can articulate the mechanics of the swing. Not everyone who played was actually good at it. I doubt that Phil Jackson can teach the mechanics of the jump shot even though he was an average player and successful coach.

    I think his significantly declining speed factors in to his power approach and even defensive positioning over the last few years.

    In the future when he gets older probably. But right now the dodgers got an mvp candidate in his prime. Will most likely continue the production for several years after this season. He is worth that contract even towards the end of that deal he declines

    Idc what ppl say, he is the best player in baseball, when a player can hit .300 a year , hit 30+ HR a year, steal 30 bags a year, play 4-5 positions on a diamond and defensively one of the best , you are the best player in baseball, I get shoei and what he has done but still when you are better than a 5 fool, you are a 6 or 7 tool player, you can’t be touched, Mike trout can’t do that
