Hey man. not stepping on your video just wanted to add for the active duty guys that you will typically take vacation during what is called "block leave". This is normally 2 weeks that the unit has set for soldiers to take vacation when they don't have any training scheduled. Commonly this is sometime in the summer and almost always around Christmas. The unit will put it out a few months before to give the soldiers a heads up. Taking vacation outside of the units "block leave" time frame is done on a case by case basis and based on what is going on unit wise at that time. Most soldiers on active duty just take leave during block leave though.

Yeah you're fine. I just wanted to hit on the point of not being able to take time off anytime. I definitely missed a few detailed things like people saving leave for the end of their contract for example. Thanks!

The army chief of staff made it now that people in the army can accumulate 120 days of leave now because of the coronavirus until 2024.

Can you do a video on combatives and how they changed being taught due to corona

My husband is in the NG and had 16 days accrued from basic. When he returned home for 2 months he was back to drilling once a month until he started his ADOS position with his recruiter on June 1. Somehow his leave days disappeared since then and he is back to 0. Can you explain this and is there any way he can get those leave days back?

Question if my civilian employer company had a military leave policy where it states" you can state that you wnna be paid just submit proper documents showing your service obligation ,doesn't that imply they pay you while your gone for duty?

When you leave for basic training I know you start getting those days off but when can you actually use them? Id assume it would be after AIT but how long? Or would that just be up to the guys up top deciding

Is there any fees to be paid off for the officer who wishes to get a vacation leave for the plan of getting marriage? How does the process would br done? Is there a need to spend cost of money for the request? How many agreements should the fiancé of the military officer should be paid? Why there is a need for an officer fiance is oblige to pay the agreements fees? Is there a need of replacement after the approval of leave vacation of the officer? By the way this is only for ARMY, the Marine Corps and Airforce have it easier based on my experiences, I don't know about the NAVY

If you get granted leave for a months leave example starting July 5th, when can you technically sign out at 00:00 the morning of that day it starts?

good afternoon good day sir !!! i just have a question about this..because i have a boyfriend US army in dallas TX..then he wants to go to the philippines..but he told me he needs my letter to allow him of their head for him to go there in my place..then he said he would send me the mail of their department..tpos I would send a letter there ... then I made him pass the letter..then he played me they department that I have to pay a fee of $ 250 first. so that they will do the necessary. I hope you can answer this because I have no idea about this !!!!

Daniel Schwehr to my knowledge yes, but it takes away from your GI bill. So for me, I’m using my GI for my masters, I can’t use it for my bachelors loans. You get a certain amount towards school.

As long as your unit doesn't have some type of restriction on travel distance temporarily then that's fine. Basically, if something major could happen at any moment that would require them to get everybody back to the unit then they will impose restrictions on how far you can travel from the base.

well I can't give a detailed thing, but I just enlisted at 17, you just can't ship out until after your senior year. It'd be best to just talk to a recruiter. Personally it'd be best to enlist and get in the Future Soldier program/DEP like I did, also gives you a better opportunity to get the job you want, as long as you get a good ASVAB and GT score
