    Munger and Buffett have both achieved an incredible feat with Berkshire. They've turned thousands to billions, and have made a lot of people wealthy in the process. I really saw the potential of the stock market by reading Berkshire's annual letters. I recently sold my $674k apartment in the Bel Air area and I'm hoping to throw it into the stock market. I just don't want to lose everything.

    Most people either do not understand the power of compound interest, or are just impatient. For the average Joe, however. I think it is just best to invest in the S&P 500, and just wait, which is reliable, albeit extremely long-lots of years. Or just use a professional analyst and speed up wealth creation. Most people underestimate the power of the latter

    My understanding of this video how Cuban got rich: 1.Cuban stole the customer base from his former employer. 2.Cuban tricked a gullible CEO into buying an overhyped streaming service. He did however make a really good choice buying an NBA team at a time when, in hindsight, it must have been quite undervalued. Case in point: Even the Charlotte Hornets are worth 3BN now and 10xed their value since MJ bought them and made sure they are never successful.

    I've never heard of any of the companies he launched. It sounds like he was more successful at selling companies than actually building something. Why are people going to him for business advice?

  • @FridayFroths

    @FridayFroths

    6 ай бұрын

    I guess because the actual business he did end up building was simply giving money to other businesses that had amazing money making ideas, and then simply taking a cut of any future profits. His business is owning other peoples businesses lmao.

  • @FridayFroths
    @FridayFroths6 ай бұрын

    So his first business sale was for literal billions lol. From everything I have seen on Mark Cuban, I actually really like him, but I have only just now found out that he was (through hard work and determination) almost immediately given enough money for a thousand life times lol. I could never have done it, but that does massively take away from the image I originally had of the man.

    Don't make it sound so dramatic. It is 0.0002 of his wealth. If you apply that to an average person with net worth of $500,000, it's like they literally lost a hundred bucks. On the other hand crypto was known for huge returns, it was common to buy some shitcoin for $100 and make $1,000,000 on that. It is a completely normal strategy to have a small percentage of your portfolio in high risk investments.

    @@storytimewithunclekumaran5004 That's his company's money, he decides who to pay it. Hiring discrimination laws are a dumb idea, you should be able to fire someone for any reason, whether you don't like their personality, health issues, sexuality, or low performance. And not having to pretend the reason is something else to avoid getting sued. These laws are there just to please the plebs and force you to work with people not compatible with your vision, which won't work out well, and at the very least will cost you money, worse case scenario your company will suffer because of them (for example half of your workers have to take sick leave because they caught and spread some disease at work, all at once). And who cares if the vaccine propaganda was right or not at the time, he made a decision regarding how he wants his business to function and he should be able to implement it, without some moron activists fighting for employee rights. Next time they'll force you to hire unqualified candidates because you shouldn't discriminate people with worse skills and less experience, and everyone should have a right to get a job, regardless if they are useful or not. In the end, instead of enforcing such charade, we should opt for something like Universal Basic Income, to give the morons the means to survive and stop bothering business owners with all this bullshit.

    There are about 2,300 billionaires in the world. Some of them would be corrupt, some would have inherited it, some are dumbfucks but quite a whole lot of them are actually people who are quite impressive and are also much more interesting than the ones who come up in pop culture quite a lot. The likes of Mark Cuban, Kim Kardashian, Steve ballmer or Richard Branson are really not that awe inspiring, they only are the folks who got the exposure and are easy to see. Please, show the stories of people who are truly capable and rare, who have a grand vision for themselves or the world but are not that famous, because they don't focus so much on the shallow stuff, like coming on a stupid reality show, or just talk big stuff but have little to show for it.
