How Many World Records Can I Take from the RANK 1 Player?

Ойындар

Decided to take as many world records as I could from the person with the most world records, who has over 17 THOUSAND world records. It is important to note that only the last 100 world records are displayed, with no way to scroll down, which makes it mandatory to take world records before being able to see any more.
Dsteves also streams his WR grinds so be sure to check him out: / dsteves

    To everyone calling Panga an idea copier, no this is actually not the case, just a coincidence. On February 4th DGR recorded his video off stream and posted it a couple days ago, however Panga had streamed this two days before DGR had posted his video on it but just posted it today, so there is no need to cause any fight. The two had the same idea, just independently of each other.

    So for those who missed his stream, allow me to explain some things that may be a little confusing with my level picking choices. At the exact time that he decided to make this video, I was in the middle of grinding for total clears outside of endless easy and in the detailed search (and actually showed up in his stream as well, I'm in the chat several times in his overlay actually if you look closely in this video), and at the time my current goal was to clear as many courses as I could in an hour which is why I decided to grind short SMB3 levels. The reason I went for SMB3 levels is because there is the least amount of wait time/animation between clearing the level and starting up another one. I played each level only once, so I could get about 100-110 courses cleared in an hour, with getting WRs being a secondary goal at that point throwing in a couple corner boosts if I happened to get it. At the end of some of my sessions however, I will specifically search for that particular title screen level as a defensive way to prevent the double digit amount of WR snipers attacking me pretty much everyday, as explained in the description of the video you can only see the most recent 100 WRs someone has so I can usually pretty easily setup a barrier to prevent people from seeing any records further than that, making the records below that point practically permanent or anti-sniper. I will return back to endless after I get my goal of having a 30,000 advantage over the rank 2 guy for total clears so the levels that I do will have a lot more variety in the future! Will do a 110,000 easy clear stream soon as I always stream my milestones actually xD.

  • @DSteves

    @DSteves

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@lightsploit Corner boosting is required, as well as not bonking into any obstacles. The reason they are all the same time is the same reason a 70 block hold right level in SMB3 is 6.674 seconds as you may see in this video (assuming you are small mario at the end of the goal, and there are no obstacles). The lack of variance limits exactly what the completion time of the level would be.

The reason it takes about 2 hours is because out of those 7200 seconds, 13.216x100 is 1321.6 seconds, then I have to wait for 25 seconds of menuing and screen transitions (25x100=2500) and then for the remaining seconds I'm not perfect and don't always get the corner boost neccesary to get that time every single time in a row so the remainder goes to me messing up.

    While number of hours played can get you far, if you don't back it up with high level of optimization your success will be limited. Some of the other players on the leaderboards actually play significantly more than I do but their daily performance is limited by being less efficient. If a player can play 100 levels an hour for 8 hours a day, they still beat someone who only plays 60 levels an hour, but 13 hours a day, as 800 > 780.
