Brian Latimer yes sir we are having to fish the coosa right now any tips-I know that the Crankbait and spinnerbait is the only thing that we can put a limit in with...other than a few on shakey head-any tips on baits or high percentage areas like points or bluff walls, tail race any of that

Some killer setups man. I'm a 6.3 or 4 speed guy with chatter and spinner baits. I like the 6.8 on jerkbaits.

Good evening sir. I just found your channel. Love it so far. I absolutely love Abu and shimano. I think I have five or six revo sx's. I have one sx from when they first came out and it's still holding in there. The only thing that is wearing out is the ani reverse bearing. It's still smooth and casts like a dream thou. It has been throu hell thou let me tell ya.... lol that reel in particular has caught thousands of salmon, steelhead, largemouth and smallmouth. Great choice in reels for sure.

The Abu Garcia sx reals kinda put the picture of the Daiwa tatula ct reals in my head. Love the tatula reals. But my go to setup is still a lews Jason christie laser speed spool 6:8:1 reel on a Hank Parker lews speed stick 7' med-heavy fast action rod laced with 17lb trilene big game. Just works on about every situation

The revo x do you have issues with the side plate falling off? The release button is place exactly where you Palm the reel? Happened to me

Today I learned that Brian speaks a complete other language than English, cause I didn’t understand a word he said.

I use the Revo X as the mainstay of my set ups with 6 of them they are great! Try the Revo Rocket your gonna love it. Merry Christmas man to you and the family!

I counted last week and have 16 combos. . . I found it ironic that I payed 1,300 for my skeeter, yet the retail price on all of the reels (the reels only not rods), was over 3000. . . It's an addiction for sure!!! Now just focusing on upgrading to a better boat!

I highly recommend the Balance 7' 3" mh mod fast for chatter baits. Relatively light rod and I can skip a Jack Hammer CB a mile with it.

Hey B-Lat: Another great video as always. Do you still use a 5 speed reel for deep cranking? Also most high speed reels these days are between 7 and 8 speed but there are a few 9 and 10 speed reels out there so when you need to use one how high is high enough? Thanks...🎣😎🐝

My one and only abu garcia reel refused to hold adjustment on the brakes. After 3 casts they would start to stick and casting distance went away. I had to superglue them in the off position. Since then i couldnt trust them. Have you had this happen to you?

Nice I’m taking notes I love Abu Garcia all I use simply cause it was the best Walmart Combo and I got hooked on their low end units and as I started moving up it’s only getting better!!! I am going to try some favorite rods after I recover from Christmas! Great Vid and Great patience with my man Brev, it’s ok to say Butt Naked in front of him just tell him what it means and why he shouldn’t say it nothing wrong with education lol!!!

Doesn't matter how many we have, getting new ones is still exciting. I agree the low-mid to mid price reels are the way to go, then invest in the best possible rods. The rods are the heart of the combo in my thinking. I have to look into these Favorite rods. They look good and I like the guide design on the spinning rods. I use a lot of spinning gear fishing for the spots. What spinning reels do you prefer? Thanks for sharing this. Almost like getting a new one for myself, watching your 'unboxing'.

I was hoping to hear about your finesse rod selection...i picked up my first favorite rod last spring, it’s the “white bird” series WBR-68 1ML 6’8” 1/8-3/8oz 4-10lb 50bucks and WOW, for me I’ve never felt a better rod, not even my holy grail Croix’s, I’m not an expert by any means but would like to hear from one lol, anyway let me know what you like or even your setup if you get time, I always enjoy your videos and thanks a million for sharing some of your knowledge and keep them lines tight bro god bless and Merry Christmas

Balance rod is a great rod for the money. I use with ploppers and frogs on the Potomac does the business

B-Lat is by far my favorite angler/youtuber. Scott Martin is the next. Great guys, sound the kind of people id want to hang with when I go pro😉 16 now but working from what I had to what I have. Through tournaments I bought my own like new Alumacraft 14 SS Johnson 35 hp, motorguide Pro Series 55, have 2 helixs and hopefully getting a lowrance next year than a half dozen bass rods and tons of tackle. Brian Latimer true, I done cut back, I try to have like 3 of each for bream, cat, bass and so on.

I'm of the camp that I'd rather put my money into a rod and go mid range on the reel. Before I could afford 150 dollar reels I used the Black Max. Caught several 7+ pounders on them with no issue. I'm a little more spoiled now, especially after I discovered veteran's discounts on certain brands and places lol

Great vid....I just got into Abus a couple years ago but, I got the older round ones, like the black Max 1600's, 3600's, 4600C4, 5600's...the round ones...I bought them old and rebuilt them with new brake blocks, upgraded from 5.3:1 to 6.3: 1 gear ratio and and what not, replaced stainless bearings with ceramic, etc.....great reels...but now I see this vid and I'm thinking I may need to upgrade 🤔..... we'll see...thanks for the info...where do you fish? I'm in Southern VA (as you could a guessed)
