How Many Photos to SCAN an Asset - 50 ? 100 ? 200 ?

In my early days doing photogrammetry i've wondered how many photos should i take to get a proper decent asset. In this video, i'm showing you three different dataset sizes producing the same asset and the differences between them. Also you have here my conclusions on this matter.
Here it is the link for a video showing how to create and prepare an asset to sell:

congratulations. I produce my models in the same way you do. The zephyr works very well on the turntable and when the camera is stationary :)

well, i responded on the fb page haha, however if anyone has the same questions, the base its some leftover white clay and the metal stick is a skew from a meat kebab thing :D

How about a similar benchmark comparing a full frame camera to a similar camera with a different size sensor

Well, i dont have a full frame camera but the main difference would be the depht of field which for this the smaller the sensor size the better , so you can get more stuff on focus easier . Part from that usually the full frame câmeras also have a Higher megapixel count and in that case thats more useful :)

Does taking photographs at different distance from object create any error while creating model

Not at all, try to get the most of the object in frame

Do zephyr lite worser than zephyr original when processing or same? I mostly get big noises on parts of flat surfaces of objects like plastic part of my boots except from the fabric parts.

Try using Capturing Reality ... or maybe even Agisoft Metashape could be usable ...

@@CarlosFaustino sry I thought you wanted to try something to improve the reconstruction I got here from FB post. I tried multiple softwares and had the best results with Capturing reality. Deppends on your needs, budget and hardware. I think that for most uses this reconstruction is more than enough as well :)

@@xrarach no problem :D this was just a test to showcase different approaches on a dataset size using turntable scenario ;) about the softwares, well you should use the one you feel better with. I use 3DF Zephyr because its a great software itself and also because they have a great support community around it..
