    PSA: Don't dry fire a bow (let the string go when there's no arrow in it) cause the force that would normally send the arrow flying can instead damage the bow, even to the point of it breaking. If you do draw it with nothing in it, gently move the string back to rest instead of releasing.

Way back in the mid 2010s the gents at Mythbusters built a rig that could fire a ping pong ball in excess of the speed of sound (~760mph/1225kph). That would definitely break some glass. When things were at their very worst: 2 Suns, Cross in the sky, 2 comets will collide = don`t be afraid - repent, accept Lord`s Hand of Mercy. Scientists will say it was a global illusion. Beware - Jesus will never walk in flesh again. After WW3 - rise of the “ man of peace“ from the East = Antichrist - the most powerful, popular, charismatic and influential leader of all time. Many miracles will be attributed to him. He will imitate Jesus in every conceivable way. Don`t trust „pope“ Francis = the False Prophet - will seem to rise from the dead - will unite all Christian Churches and all Religions as one. One World Religion = the seat of the Antichrist. Benedict XVI is the last true pope - will be accused of a crime of which he is totally innocent. Looking at the replay, it looks like the arrow massively slowed down when the fins on the back caught the first pane. It might not be that it’s “safe” behind three panes but rather that it’s “safe” past about how long the arrow is. You should consider testing it with putting the panes closer together/further apart and see if that holds true.

  • @Crystantemum

    @Crystantemum

    Good point and to go along with it the arrowhead was rounded and is made for practice. If they used a more traditional arrowhead-shaped tip it would create a bigger entry point which would make what you brought up less of a problem. It would have better piercing power to go further in general as well

  • @Moola868

    @Moola868

    2 жыл бұрын

    It looks like the tip broke off after the second pane, and it then hit the third pane at the same time the fins hit the first one, so it was probably a combination of the two. It just killed it's momentum from both ends.

    A very astute point, though I feel the need to draw attention to the fact that, while you're correct in that dry-firing a bow is extremely dangerous, even then, you might be overreacting just a tad. A well-made, well-maintained (or newly acquired) bow most-likely won't break from a single incident of dry-firing (thankfully for the HR crew), though it should still be avoided wherever possible, and a poorly-made, poorly maintained (or very old) bow may break without ever being dry-fired, though you'd likely notice it's impending doom if you were to inspect it properly. Bows are manufactured with a degree of safety in regards to that, as, rare as it may be, incidents can occur where an arrow might "un-nock" itself and fall prior to release, given that we as humans are ultimately fallible creatures and make mistakes.

    12:48 If you separate water into hydrogen and oxygen at a 2-1 ratio via an electrical current, the combined gas does explode! Not only does it explode violently, but the burning hydrogen and oxygen, burning in the air combine again to make water again... Not joking. It's insane! *(Don't try it at home, the explosion-shock-wave can go at mach 3, enough to lose fingers!)*

  • @spejic1

    @spejic1

    Water is the ashes of a hydrogen fire. The hydrogen has already been burned. Yes you can get the hydrogen back out (like you can theoretically recombine all the atoms of car exhaust to make gasoline), but it takes a lot more energy that you get back.

    Ideia for video: Dump some gallons of gasoline in a big swimming pool (just enough to make a 1mm floating layer) and then lit It with a flaming arrow (just like the torch of the 1992 Barcelona Olympics). The noise and flame will be awesome, and the thin layer of gasoline will burn fast, causing no damage to the pool.

    The problem with the arrow through glass is you didn't allow enough room for the arrow to reach its maximum velocity since the firing point and the first pane distance is much too short, which greatly reduces its forward inertia.
