What did any of that have to do with Qui-gon? Besides him basically just making i guess we can say a cameo appearance with no lines of dialog 😢

I love these in between stories about Star Wars. I've been a Star Wars fan since I was literally in diapers. My father introduced me to Star Wars when I was about a year old and we had family photos of me sitting next to my father watching Star Wars. These stories make me wish they would make live action films about these times. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing story. This is probably the most important concept introduced by the comics. It means that characters like Rey or Ezra have access to the wisdom of a large number of Jedi Masters as long as this planet exists. That Luke knew about this place, and it was apparently a closely guarded secret that the emperor never learned about means it's likely still in existence during the sequel era. The other major reveal from this comic is that it gives us the first solid peak at the Jedi in canon prior to the high republic. That it does not really contradict the legends material but loosely reinforces it is important for those of us who hope that material can one day be restored to canon status.

I've begun to wonder what if Count Dooku had met Luke Skywalker? I know he had a slight against Anakin mostly due to seeing himself when he looked of thought of Anakin. But I have to wonder if that would have extended to Anakin's son. Dooku himself left the Jedi to tend to his own Family matters. So....I don't think so!?

He's not really cloned, nor is he alive. He can never leave as he's just a bunch of mushrooms shaped like a person and imitating them. I mean, if you want to go have a conversation with Luke with knowledge up to only a few months after Empire Strikes Back them sure... so for a swim in the mushroom sea and have at it. But there's no "resurrection" waiting to happen here.

Came here to ask this myself. He would have had to do all this between leaving Yoda on Dagobah and arriving in Cloud City...when he abruptly left his jedi training....to save his friends....cuz he thought they might die if he didn't get there as soon as possible. From a certain point of view...

I don't think we'll see a new trilogy with luke,all of the clones from the planet seem trapped un able to leave anyway.

The Living Sea could be composed of organic crystal, making it like a holocron. An imprint of their spirit is left like in a holocron crystal. What Anakin could had done for Padme was to imprint her spirit in a holocron and if she dies, a clone could be created and a copy of her spirit could be imprinted on the clone so that it will have Padme's memories before she died.

So basically a living holocon. That save anyone who enter it

If only Disney would employ these writers. If it is through Disney then put the to work on the movies and Disney +. This is a new idea but one that still feels like Star Wars and not just a plot device.

This living organism version of Luke isn't actually Luke though. I'm pretty sure that isn't the implication here. The real Luke died on Ahch-To. Unless that was the organism in the sequels projecting Ahch-To, but that would imply that Rey is also there too. Hmm... questions solved maybe in upcoming sequel for Rey. Yes!

How does anyone get excited by a company butchering a franchise? Disney have done nothing but ruin a once fantastic franchise. But seeing the Disney trilogy has damaged Star Wars beyond repair. We see Disney trying everything to make their abysmal trilogy to make sense. Just like this issue. No original writing, just hacking stories from Lucasfilm.

one can enjoy both legends and canon you know? sure, Disney has a lot of misses, but so does legends, although legends is by far the best. I think the key is to be able to separate the two and seeing them as VERY different Universes. If you think canon is garbage, then that is fair. I personally love a lot of what Disney have done with their novels, comics and some shows. I for one would rather try to enjoy myself rather then hate on everything (not saying you do) because as i said, one can enjoy both. Cheers 😁

Which is just nitpicking from the EU and saying its "theirs". No, Disney have been lazy and have no plan. I personally would of loved to have seen Episodes 7-9. Based around Luke Skywalker and the New Jedi Order. Not pathetic remakes of Episodes 4-6. I find it hard as to why some people think the Disney trilogy is any good? Where in fact its plaguerised storytelling. As for the books, again there is nothing of substance. Just more hacking from the EU. Nope I can not enjoy Disney Star Wars. But I love pre Disney Star Wars.

Personally, i am just not as critical as as you are, especially since i have no power as to what Disney do.
