Kinda miss the point of the lesson. Palpatine IS in pain around the crystal. He doesn't deny the pain. He embraces the suffering as fuel for his power. Yes, Vader is always in pain. But, he defies it. There is no Pleasure from it.

I want to see Teal, Pink and Beige lightsabers in the saga.

I'm mostly ok with the khyber crystals not being explored too in depth, because they create potentially lore shattering consequences. As cool as unique lightsaber crystals sounds, some of them are described as being able to "cleave another lightsaber in half". Well, that's a really, really bad idea from a story perspective. In the movies, we've only ever seen lightsabers fight on par with one another, with the weapon itself never being the deciding factor. If you suddenly add in crystals that allow a lightsaber to break another lightsaber, you've opened a can of worms you will never be able to stuff back in. You'll get powercreep in lightsabers that will destroy lightsabers as a concept. The lightsaber itself will cease to be important. Only the crystal will be important. I don't really want to see that.

Yes, let me give another example, it has been established that individuals are born with different sensitivity to the force, with potential to increase capacity to use the force through training. Sometimes is better to leave concepts alone, the idea was there, but as soon as George implemented specific details it kind of made it worse (midichlorians). Anyway, time goes on and Vader loses his potential in the force because he has been corrupted mentally and physically, so now Palpatine remains the stronger Sith, makes sense. But now you have a... Kyber crystal that sort of augments your power? Apparently this Kyber crystal gives you (in Sidious's words) "unlimited power...", I understand it's an additive to a Sith..... So the Jedi have it easier then, they don't have to torture the crystals to "corrupt" them, the Jedi who wears the biggest, heaviest Kyber crystal armor wins? Now you don't need the chosen one! Oh but even though it augments your abilities in the force only Palpie can use it, not Vader, Vader screams. Okay I think I've seen enough😅 Cool drawings though I loved them.

… but… but… this is the exact same thing Vader says to Luke? Also, if the Exegol fleet was already built, why did it take *40 years* to use them? And why bother wasting all those resources on a second Death Star, when you could use them making a larger fleet. Nothing about this makes sense. Everything about the sequel trilogy is just so much pudoo…

These bogus comics have become nothing but Palpatine vs Vader. The stuff between them is so intense it makes no sense within the canon of the movies. It is extremely lame.

Trying to justify the sequels just isn't working. The stories are rushed and unbalanced. It all but completely nullifies the need for most of the events of the previous movies. The story's been butchered at the hands of the dark mouse

Power scaling in Star Wars comics is all over the place tbh. Darth Vader isn’t Goku when it comes the force, his power has limits.

Okay before I get to the impact this has on the original triology let's address something: Palpatine isn't in pain from his mountain of bleeding Kyber, which I have to again pause to admire this, it's because of one thing nobody ever seems to notice: he has only himself. His love of power is his only love and because of it he can never feel true pain from another being and experience this as suffering. To him it's a fine wine and correction in their nature. All things should be in pain and bow to Sidious. Also this is explains why Vader is so loyal to Sidious. He didn't just break him in one movie he continued t torture Vader until only a sliver of Anakin Skywalker remained and Vader LOATHED that light in himself instinctually. Sidous knew Vader would attempt to betray him but not to fulfill some ancient prophecy no he would destroy Sidious when the time was right and take his place as The Dark Lord of the Sith!! Power unending! Then Sidious would arise again from the dead and take his place to remind Vader who was the Master of his destiny. Comics Sidious as actually better than film Sidious because we see just how depraved and scheming he really is. Like think about the forethought he put into all these plans and the risks he ran allowing Vader to rebel but being sure that he would always return to kneel.

Palpatine was stronger than Vader but not by as much. George Lucas said Vader was 80% as strong as Palpatine which is still really strong and only leaves a 20% difference.

@@DatMandalorian He is only 20% more powerful according to GL, thats not so much that he should manhandle Vader every single time they come into conflict. Disney canon doesnt say Vader's physical injuries are what is holding him back, its his mental injuries. That being said, Palps is not worlds stronger than Vader. Its always plot armor that shows Palps as that much stronger because otherwise there is nobody else in SW that can be a threat to Vader, and if theres no conflict or threat to Vader then it wouldnt be much of an exciting story to follow.

20% stronger in the force, on top of being one of the most powerful force lightning user ever, then on top of having mentally enslaving Vader, has more knowledge and experience in the force, completely in tune with the dark side compared to Vader who still have that tiniest bit of a light holding him back. Sidious is the purest depiction of a psychopath that there is. I think the only reason that Vader was affected but Sidious wasn't is because Sidious is incapable of feeling empathy or anything else. The crystal isn't in physical pain (that we'd be able to recognize) but it's in agony, which is fundamentally different from pain in philosophical terms.

I sort of combined my thoughts of this video with how he survived being thrown into the Death Star Core by Darth Vader. He may want unlimited power, but that was ridiculous.

This stories are all fine, but in the end it just needs an untrained woman to kill Palpatine. So no big deal :)

Not only that but the fleet makes the Sequels and part of the Originals make even less sense. Thrawn and a few other officers had complained that the resources of the galaxy went to building a single Death Star instead of a large encompassing fleet. We now know that Palpatine had both a Death Star and a fleet. So why does he lose then? Also, if he just switches bodies why doesn`t he just continue the war with his remaining fleet? The whole thing makes no sense.

The problem with Kira, much like Darth Maul, was that she was too cocky and underestimated her opponents. Specifically, she thought she could take on Vader, which was an absurd notion.

Yes, Papa was destroyed in the last Jedi movie. But he still came back as a force ghost, which intern he was obviated finally in the end later on.

He actually does, in the canon book Shadow of the Sith, Anakin's force ghost tells Luke all about Exegol and the secret fleet and all of it. And Luke spent years trying to get to Exegol (because if you may remember its impossible to get to without a sith wayfinder or the beast Summa Verminoth). However Vader had no idea about the wayfinders and had no idea where to find them and Palpatine killed the Summa Verminoth so it was impossible for Luke to get there which is why he never does

Even the most powerful of the Old Republic Jedi or Sith wouldn't be able to look far enough into the future to see that....

The fact that you commenters canters can't get names right means you don't really know Star Wars. Who is Goku? Who is Ray? It's Kyber Crystal.

Power and immortality in all, does that crystal grant absolute control of one's destiny, or is there a terrible price to pay for any who seek power of total power, which leads to becoming either darker or filled with an aim to rule everything and Vader may regret where his heading if his destiny is not to becoming emperor for himself, and possibly changing from darkness to the light of the Forse a conflict of consciousness and doubts he has always tried to keep hidden deep inside his mind, but even this betrays him with views of his son Luke. Of course, this is only one possible outcome of many in the destinies of the forces? Crystal or not, Anikin Skywalker is still part of his subconscious, a rare opportunity for a future event, perhaps as future events will unfold from this point on? Possibly in an alternative time, Vader could draw a new line in the cosmic scheme of his own destiny without failure, an option to become emperor by becoming a Sith and Jedi master and becoming the Chosen One Red Vader Emperor Master Of The Federation and Forse? Destiny Vader and Skywalker's family, Lea , Luke, and Han, and many stories might be a different path, not Chose? I recall the movie The Man Who Would Be King and a book from which taken from and wonder if this could apply to Vader?

Going to the dark side was his decision alone and not the Will Of the Force.The ROTS novel states that Anakin doesn’t listen to the Will Of The Force but only to himself.

Of course vader is destined to destroy Palpatine, it is quite simply the rule of 2, and both plagueis and sidious said it, gone are the old days when an apprentice must be more powerful, simply more cunning, and by staying close to the emperor, vader is right next to his greatest adversary.
